But the message has added a heightened layer of political sensitivity to a closely watched investigation in the final days of a tense presidential election.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The fires both occurred early Monday within a short time of each other in Portland, Ore., and just across the state line in Vancouver, Wash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The \u201cFree Gaza\u201d message appeared not only on the two devices, which were discovered on Monday, but also on a device found at a third ballot box this month in Vancouver, according to the law enforcement officials. That device also had the words \u201cFree Palestine\u201d on it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<aside class=\"css-ew4tgv\" aria-label=\"companion column\"\/><\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Officials said at a news conference that they believed all three events were linked.
