Nintendo has announced that <em>Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2015\/12\/8\/9862024\/xenoblade-chronicles-x\">a remaster of Monolith Soft\u2019s 2015 action RPG<\/a>, will launch on the Switch on March 20, 2025. There\u2019s something deeply ironic about the trailer for a Switch port of a ten-year old Wii U game starting with the dialogue, \u201cWell, here we are. Not too shabby, huh?\u201d It\u2019s like a tongue-in-cheek joke acknowledging there\u2019s a wealth of Wii U games in desperate need of salvation (<strong>coughs<\/strong> <em>Wind Waker<\/em> <strong>coughs<\/strong>) and <em>Xenoblade Chronicles X<\/em> was one of the lucky ones to get a lifeboat off the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/3\/21\/22988902\/nintendo-wiiu-3ds-eshop-closure-dmca-section-1201\">sunken, inaccessible ship that is the Nintendo back catalogue<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">In addition to porting old Wii U games, Nintendo\u2019s still releasing new titles in the twilight days of the Switch. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/24180608\/mario-and-luigi-brothership-release-date-nintendo-direct\"><em>Mario &amp; Luigi: Brothership<\/em><\/a> is due out next week.
