{"id":120898,"date":"2024-11-01T16:58:46","date_gmt":"2024-11-01T09:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=120898"},"modified":"2024-11-01T16:58:46","modified_gmt":"2024-11-01T09:58:46","slug":"young-thug-released-from-fulton-county-jail-trial-after-pleading-guilty-in-rico-trial-wsb-tv-channel-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=120898","title":{"rendered":"Young Thug released from Fulton County Jail trial after pleading guilty in RICO trial \u2013 WSB-TV Channel 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">ATLANTA \u2014 Jeffrey Williams, aka Young Thug, has been released from the Fulton County Jail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">The rapper\u2019s attorney, Keith Adams, confirmed to <b>Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne <\/b>that he and his other attorney, Brian Steel, escorted him from the jail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">In video captured by Channel 2 Action News, you can see Young Thug in the back seat of a Mercedes E 350 driven by Adams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">On Thursday, Williams, who has been in jail since 2022 for a sprawling Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act indictment in Fulton County, pled guilty as part of a non-negotiated plea in the YSL RICO case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\"><b>Channel 2 Action News <\/b>was at the Fulton County courthouse Thursday as the judge read Williams\u2019 sentence in what\u2019s become the longest trial in Georgia history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">Williams has been behind bars since May of 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">Williams changed his plea to guilty on gang-related charges. This is a non-negotiated plea, which means the final decision on sentencing was up to the judge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\"><b>[DOWNLOAD: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsbtv.com\/smart-tv\/\"><b>Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks<\/b><\/a><b>]<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">Judge Paige Reese Whitaker issued the sentence. She gave him 40 years to serve five years in prison but commuted to time served.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">He will then spend 15 years on probation but with the threat of 20 years in prison if he fails at probation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">Along with that, Young Thug is essentially banned from the city of Atlanta, unless he\u2019s here for things like family weddings or funerals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">The judge is also requiring that while on probation, he returns to Atlanta to perform community service, in the form of anti-gang seminars for school-aged children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\"><b>RELATED STORIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis spoke to<b> Channel 2\u2032s Mark Winne <\/b>after Williams took his plea deal, saying that there were 28 defendants indicted in the YSL case. Fourteen of those defendants still have pending charges if Young Thug\u2019s plea is finalized so the case is ongoing and \u201cwe\u2019re not done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\">Young Thug\u2019s girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist, issued the following statement to <b>Channel 2\u2032s Michael Seiden<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 dowhnV body-paragraph\"><i>\u201cThank you God, thank you God. This is more than what we prayed for. We are so grateful, this is the greatest opportunity we\u2019ve ever been presented with and we are so grateful.
