But if you\u2019re a CarPlay user, you might have noticed that Apple Intelligence provides a few nice changes on the road too. Apple\u2019s digital assistant is no longer a floating orb at the bottom of your iPhone\u2019s screen. Instead, it\u2019s a radiant, glowing presence that surrounds the entire display.<\/p>\n<p>That same Siri design also extends to the assistant when using CarPlay.<\/p>\n<p>Go for a drive with Apple Intelligence enabled on your iPhone, and you\u2019ll find that Siri\u2019s new glow surrounds your CarPlay display when you invoke it. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a small touch, but a nice one for consistency across devices.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-new-voice-for-siri\">A new voice for Siri<\/h2>\n<p>Siri doesn\u2019t just have a new look in iOS 18.1. It also sounds noticeably different.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because Apple Intelligence brings several changes to the way Siri speaks.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s iOS 18.1 <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/ios-18-1-apples-full-release-notes\/\">release notes<\/a> explain it like this:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Voice enhancements make Siri sound more natural, expressive, and clear<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I noticed right off the bat that Siri sounded different. All the rest are kept silenced.<\/p>\n<p>The great thing is, you can apply those same AI smarts to any other Focus mode you have, including Driving.<\/p>\n<p>By visiting Settings \u21fe Focus you\u2019ll find a new toggle when editing a Focus mode: Intelligent Breakthrough &amp; Silencing.<\/p>\n<p>This toggle enables Apple Intelligence to manage what\u2019s important, just like if you were using the dedicated Reduce Interruptions Focus.
