offsuit poker hand and lost to New York for the 16th straight time in Friday night\u2019s 128-98 wire-to-wire annihilation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we work together,\u201d Tom Thibodeau said, first quarter, tying the franchise\u2019s second-biggest advantage ever for the first 12 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>They were up by as many as 33 in the first half.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Pistons never got closer than 22 after that.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When Leon Rose created these Knicks in the offseason, Friday night \u2014 just the fifth game of the season \u2014 was what he must\u2019ve hoped would materialize half.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Karl-Anthony Towns, who had been listed as questionable with a sprained wrist before tip-off, added 11 rebounds, seven assists and 21 points \u2014 two nights after dropping 44 on 3-pointers to start the season, hitting 3 of 6 on Friday, and allowing the Knicks to thrive by opening up the paint.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>His teammates responded the last two games by cutting with frequency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAT and his skill set, you have to be up on him,\u201d Thibodeau said. \u201cAnd then what it does is it opens up the cutting, and the harder we cut, the more we\u2019re going to get easy buckets, we\u2019re going to get open 3s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Detroit Pistons center And with Jalen, they\u2019re developing really good chemistry off it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>OG Anunoby, the $212 million man, recorded 21 points with six assists. <\/p>\n<p>Mikal Bridges contributed 15 points with seven boards. It was an early Thanksgiving for the Knicks. They all feasted at Little Caesars Arena.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re striving for an unattainable goal. I don\u2019t think anybody or any team in the history of the NBA has played a full 48 minutes. Boston on ring night\u2019s close,\u201d said Hart, poking fun at the Knicks blowout defeat to the Celtics on opening night this season. \u201cIt\u2019s an unattainable goal and we know that, but it\u2019s something we know we\u2019ve got to build to get to.
