Lisa Sturtevant, chief economist of Bright MLS, said she still expects rates to come down from current levels, but thinks they\u2019ll be volatile and could stay above 6% for all of next year.<!-- HTML_TAG_END --><\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1pe5jgt\"><!-- HTML_TAG_START -->\u201cRates will probably stay a little bit more elevated than we might have expected,\u201d Sturtevant said.<!-- HTML_TAG_END --><\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1pe5jgt\"><!-- HTML_TAG_START -->Higher rates also chilled housing activity for the sixth straight week.
