{"id":123345,"date":"2024-11-08T05:16:46","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T22:16:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=123345"},"modified":"2024-11-08T05:16:46","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T22:16:46","slug":"miles-of-blue-ridge-parkway-reopen-in-north-carolina-after-helene-floods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=123345","title":{"rendered":"Miles of Blue Ridge Parkway reopen in North Carolina after Helene floods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">Parts of North Carolina remain submerged following a catastrophic flooding event following Helene. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/national-parks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Park Service<\/a> restored another portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina on Wednesday, making access through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/north-carolina\/asheville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asheville<\/a> corridor possible once again.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Parts of the Parkway were destroyed when Hurricane <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/helene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helene<\/a> dropped nearly 30 inches of rain \u2013 about four months\u2019 worth of rain \u2013 in three days and caused historic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/7-facts-you-should-know-about-flash-floods\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flash flooding<\/a> throughout western <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/north-carolina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Carolina<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The recently reopened stretch of the Parkway runs about 11 miles from milepost 382.5 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S.<\/a> 70 near the Folk Art Center to milepost 393.6 at N.C. Route 191 near the North Carolina Arboretum.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">By reopening this section, other NPS sites will also reopen. This includes the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center near Asheville at milepost 384 and the Folk Art Center at milepost 384.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Trails within this stretch will also reopen.
