I mean, I did go 14-1 last week, with the only loss being the <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/NO\/new-orleans-saints\/\">New Orleans Saints<\/a>, who blew a fourth-quarter lead to the <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/CAR\/carolina-panthers\/\">Carolina Panthers<\/a>. That&#8217;s impressive, right?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, my against-the-spread picks were 8-7 last week, which I will take after two terrible weeks prior to that. The season record for ATS picks is now 64-71-3, which is gross. The straight-up record is 82-56-0.<\/p>\n<p>As for the ATS picks last week, I got hosed on the <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/PHI\/philadelphia-eagles\/\">Eagles<\/a> blowing a big lead to the <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/JAC\/jacksonville-jaguars\/\">Jaguars<\/a> and the <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/TEN\/tennessee-titans\/\">Titans<\/a> giving up a touchdown on the final play in regulation to the <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/NE\/new-england-patriots\/\">Patriots<\/a>. Ouch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This week features some interesting games, including <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/CIN\/cincinnati-bengals\/\">Bengals<\/a> at\u00a0<a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/BAL\/baltimore-ravens\/\">Ravens<\/a>, <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/PIT\/pittsburgh-steelers\/\">Steelers<\/a> at <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/WAS\/washington-commanders\/\">Commanders<\/a> and <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/DET\/detroit-lions\/\">Lions<\/a> at <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/HOU\/houston-texans\/\">Texans<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s keep the momentum going. It&#8217;s November, time for my playoff push. OK, so I make the playoffs no matter what. Both offenses can score, while both defenses have struggled. <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2179798\/joe-burrow\/\">Joe Burrow<\/a> and Lamar Jackson will put on an offensive show here, with the Ravens pulling out a close one late.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick:<\/strong> Ravens 34, Bengals 33<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonus:\u00a0<\/strong>SportsLine expert Mike Tierney is on a 52-22-2 roll on Ravens games. We can tell you that he disagrees with me and is leaning towards the under for this monumental AFC North showdown. The Panthers won a game last week against the Saints, even though they were dominated. <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/3161957\/bryce-young\/\">Bryce Young<\/a> was better. The Giants are skidding. But they are the better team. That will show up. Giants take it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Giants 21, Panthers 14<\/p>\n<h2>New England Patriots at <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/teams\/CHI\/chicago-bears\/\">Chicago Bears<\/a> (-6)<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(Fox,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fubo.tv\/welcome\/leagues\/191277?irad=356362&amp;irmp=416484&amp;sharedid=HTW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>fubo<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0try for free)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bears have lost two straight road games, while the Patriots are playing a second straight road game after losing to the Titans last week. <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/26695757\/drake-maye\/\">Drake Maye<\/a> turned it over three times in that game. This Bears defense will test him even more. Look for the Bears to get back on track here. <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/26695775\/caleb-williams\/\">Caleb Williams<\/a> plays better in the battle of the rookies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Bears 27, Patriots 16<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paramountplus.com\/?cbscidmt=sports&amp;ftag=PPM-22-10agi2j\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Paramount+<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The move to play <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/1250697\/joe-flacco\/\">Joe Flacco<\/a> didn&#8217;t pay off for the Colts last week. But he will start again. The Bills have run-game issues, so look for a lot of <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2866395\/jonathan-taylor\/\">Jonathan Taylor<\/a> here. Even so, I don&#8217;t think the Colts will slow down <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2181054\/josh-allen\/\">Josh Allen<\/a> and his offense. Look for the Bills to stay hot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Bills 30, Colts 17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(Fox,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fubo.tv\/welcome\/leagues\/191277?irad=356362&amp;irmp=416484&amp;sharedid=HTW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>fubo<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0try for free)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Jaguars have lost a lot of close games, but they have a lot of injury issues right now. The Minnesota offense should have a good day here as the Jacksonville defense is last in the league in pass defense. <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2871343\/justin-jefferson\/\">Justin Jefferson<\/a> will light them up. Vikings take it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick:<\/strong> Vikings 31, Jaguars 23<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paramountplus.com\/?cbscidmt=sports&amp;ftag=PPM-22-10agi2j\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Paramount+<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Broncos lost on the road last week, while the Chiefs are playing on a short week. Kansas City seemed to find its offense a bit against Tampa Bay, while the Broncos defense was shredded by Lamar Jackson last week. This is a tough ask for Denver on the road again. Look for the Chiefs to stay undefeated as their defense gets the best of <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/3121193\/bo-nix\/\">Bo Nix<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Chiefs 29, Broncos 17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(Fox,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fubo.tv\/welcome\/leagues\/191277?irad=356362&amp;irmp=416484&amp;sharedid=HTW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>fubo<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0try for free)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Saints fired coach Dennis Allen this week, replacing him with special-teams coordinator Darren Rizzi. He will liven things up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The problem is the talent. The Saints are too injured. The Falcons will come into New Orleans and beat their rivals as <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/1272574\/kirk-cousins\/\">Kirk Cousins<\/a> and the offense stay hot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Falcons 30, Saints 17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(Fox,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fubo.tv\/welcome\/leagues\/191277?irad=356362&amp;irmp=416484&amp;sharedid=HTW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>fubo<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0try for free)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 49ers are coming off their bye, while the Bucs played on Monday. But this is a long trip for the 49ers. Even so, they are getting healthier. That matters. <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2136743\/christian-mccaffrey\/\">Christian McCaffrey<\/a> might be back here. Tampa Bay is still so banged up. The 49ers will win it behind their run game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>49ers 28, Bucs 20<\/p>\n<h2>Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington Commanders (-3)<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paramountplus.com\/?cbscidmt=sports&amp;ftag=PPM-22-10agi2j\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Paramount+<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Steelers are off their bye, while the Commanders are coming off a division victory over the Giants. This will be <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/1272242\/russell-wilson\/\">Russell Wilson&#8217;s<\/a> first road start for the Steelers. He will have a new receiver in <a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2082516\/mike-williams\/\">Mike Williams<\/a>, but the Commanders have new corner in\u00a0<a class=\"Annotation-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/players\/2139278\/marshon-lattimore\/\">Marshon Lattimore<\/a>. Normally, that would be a big edge to the Texans, but they aren&#8217;t playing well. The Lions are. Even so, I look for the Texans to bounce back and upset the Lions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Texans 28, Lions 27<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN,\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fubo.tv\/welcome\/leagues\/191277?irad=356362&amp;irmp=416484&amp;sharedid=HTW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>fubo<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>try for free)<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Dolphins are playing consecutive road games and badly need this one, while the Rams are back home after winning at Seattle. The Rams have improved on offense as they&#8217;ve gotten healthier. The defense is growing up. Look for a big day for Matt Stafford.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick: <\/strong>Rams 31, Dolphins 23<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\n
