I don\u2019t think you can pay people off that you hurt [and expect] for them to protect you \u2026 offering millions of dollars to this apparent beautiful relationship [and] keep it a secret, speaks volumes.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did not accept any money. I will not accept any money. I think it\u2019s beneath me. F\u2013k that. I\u2019m not taking it.\u2019 The next hour [she\u2019d say], \u2018too much money, [I] have to take it. How can I pass up $12 million?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Portnoy, 47, admitted he even considered advising LaPaglia to take the money.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI don\u2019t think you can pay people off that you hurt [and expect] for them to protect you,\u201d she continued. <span class=\"credit\">briannalapaglia\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The podcaster added, \u201cI did not accept any money.
