Her 11 nominations also made Beyonc\u00e9 the most nominated artist in Grammy history with 99 (she previously shared the record, 88, with her husband Jay-Z).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tLamar, meanwhile, was one of four artists to rack up seven nominations, alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/billie-eilish\/\" id=\"auto-tag_billie-eilish\" data-tag=\"billie-eilish\">Billie Eilish<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/charli-xcx\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charli-xcx\" data-tag=\"charli-xcx\">Charli XCX<\/a>, and Post Malone. He\u2019ll be up against Bey\u2019s <em>Cowboy Carter<\/em>, Carpenter\u2019s <em>Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em>, Charli\u2019s <em>Brat<\/em>, Eilish\u2019s <em>Hit Me Hard and Soft<\/em>, Swift\u2019s <em>The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, Roan\u2019s <em>The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess<\/em>, and Jacob Collier\u2019s <em>Djesse Vol. 4.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tCarpenter and Roan \u2014 easily the year\u2019s biggest breakthrough stars \u2014 are also unsurprisingly leading the pack for Best New Artist. But the competition is stiff. Swift, of course, has won Album of the Year more than any other artist (four times), and both Eilish and Andr\u00e9 3000 are previous winners in that category, too (Andr\u00e9 as a member of Outkast).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tEilish has also become a major favorite of Recording Academy voters since sweeping the Big Four prizes in 2020. She\u2019s since added another Record and Song of the Year trophy to her collection, the former for \u201cEverything I Wanted\u201d in 2021, the latter for \u201cWhat Was I Made For?\u201d last year. (Eilish is also now the first artist to have her first three albums nominated for Album of the Year.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tFor Charli XCX, her seven Grammy nominations this year are her first ever as a solo artist (she was previously nominated in 2015 for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance for \u201cFancy\u201d with Iggy Azalea). Raye also became the first artist to simultaneously notch nods for Best New Artist and Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, celebrating her work as a solo artist, as well as with others like Beyonc\u00e9, Jennifer Lopez, Halle, and Lucky Daye.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThere are several notable first-time nominees, as well, including Sierra Ferrell, Doechii, and Morgan Wallen (who\u2019s still yet to be nominated as a solo artist but did earn two nods for his hit with Post Malone, \u201cI Had Some Help\u201d). Several music legends picked up their first nods as well, including the storied producer Pete Rock, legendary singer Linda Martell, and punk great Kim Gordon. Current indie favorites Waxahatchee, Clairo, and Madi Diaz scored their first nominations as well, as did Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko, Mexican singer-songwriter Car\u00edn Le\u00f3n, and Colombian
