Playing a very limited role with the team, Bronny tallied<strong> <\/strong>four points in 13 total minutes of playing time.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm38w2xug000e356mzd5v4izp@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The 20-year-old made history in the Lakers\u2019 season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves in October when he and LeBron became the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/07\/25\/sport\/bronny-james-cardiac-arrest\/index.html\">first father-son duo<\/a> to appear together in an NBA game.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm38w75q1000h356mgzhyk77d@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Bronny,<strong> <\/strong>who was taken in the second round of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/06\/27\/sport\/los-angeles-lakers-bronny-james-nba-draft\/index.html\">NBA Draft<\/a> in June, should see increased playing time in the G League, where many later draft picks are given the opportunity to continue to develop their skill sets.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm38w7gxp000k356m99vdwj1g@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            James\u2019 reassignment does not necessarily mean that NBA fans have seen the last of the rookie playing alongside his father in the NBA this season.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm38yta0g00033b6mvk8skysf@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Lakers coach J.J. Redick told reporters in October that the team had<strong> <\/strong>always intended for the rookie to split time between the NBA and the G League throughout the season.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm38wm9hi000n356mzhkt0uhn@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cThe plan for Bronny to move between the Lakers and South Bay has always been the plan since day one,\u201d Redick said, according to the Associated Press. \u201c(Lakers general manager) Rob (Pelinka) and I have talked about that.
