A Level 3 risk covers from Port Arthur north to north of Alexandria.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;A level 4 of 4 threat does not happen very often,&#8221; says FOX Weather Meteorologist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/person\/s\/kendall-smith\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kendall Smith<\/a>. &#8220;So I want you to be on guard and be vigilant to not just say, &#8216;hey, I live in this area. I know flooding.&#8217; Because this is a situation that could creep up on you very quickly because of the training storms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/SAT%20Central%20Flash%20Flood%20Outlook.png?v1\"\/><figcaption>Flash Flood Risk For Saturday<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/wwamap\/wwatxtget.php?cwa=LCH&amp;wwa=flood%20watch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flood Watches cover much of the area<\/a> through Saturday night. Portions of central Louisiana have received more than triple their average rainfall over the past week, and thus soils are already saturated, increasing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/flood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flooding<\/a> threat.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;I know, it&#8217;s a Saturday,&#8221; Smith said. &#8220;I know that this is a big bummer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">While the heaviest rains will focus on Louisiana, soaking storms will stretch 1,000 miles along the front from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas<\/a> into the Ohio Valley, with an isolated risk of flash flooding.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;So, it&#8217;s not just folks in Natchitoches or the Louisiana coastline,&#8221; Smith said. &#8220;It&#8217;s all the way up into places like Lexington, Nashville, even St. Louis.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The rain will continue to slowly take its way through the southeast and Midwest on Sunday and Monday.
