Several altcoins soon followed suit, with these cryptos recording major hikes on the price charts too. In fact, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/solana-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solana [SOL]<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was one of the market\u2019s top performers, with SOL hitting a new milestone in the process too. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, SOL\u2019s latest achievement could be a catalyst for a fresh altcoin season. Hence, it\u2019s worth looking at whether that\u2019s even possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Solana\u2019s latest milestone<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMBCrypto <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/solana-at-199-will-high-liquidations-trigger-a-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a> previously<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that Solana recent performances have been pretty impressive. For instance \u2013 The altcoin registered a +20% price hike in the last seven days, allowing it to go above $200. At the time of writing, Solana was trading at $201 on the charts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This price hike also allowed the altcoin to hit a new milestone. SolanaFloor, a popular X account that shares updates related to the blockchain\u2019s ecosystem, recently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SolanaFloor\/status\/1854855225297060182?t=xeFvsogePsTnVTXhBo_d4w&amp;s=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">revealed<\/span><\/a> that <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SOL\u2019s market capitalization dominance reached 3.8% \u2013 An all-time high. Since SOL crossed $200 and its market dominance hit an ATH, it seemed likely that this surge could in turn help begin a fresh altcoin season soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Is an altcoin season around the corner?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To see whether Solana\u2019s latest achievement and its bull rally were enough for an altcoin season, AMBCrypto checked other datasets. For initiators, a value closer to 25 hints at a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> season, whereas a value near 75 means an altcoin season. Therefore, investors might have to wait longer to see a major altcoin rally. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, AMBCrypto also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/is-altcoin-season-on-hold-until-2025-rising-btc-dominance-suggests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that an altcoin season might as well get delayed till 2025. Nonetheless, investors shouldn\u2019t lose hope. AMBCrypto\u2019s look at CoinStats\u2019 data pointed out an optimistic development for altcoins like Solana. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We found that the Bitcoin dominance chart dropped sharply over the last week. At press time, BTC\u2019s dominance stood at 55.7%. This was the case as the 9-day MA was resting above the 21-day MA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Read <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/solana-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solana\u2019s [SOL] Price Prediction<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2024\u20132025\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the possibility of a price correction can\u2019t be ruled out as Solana\u2019s Relative Strength Index (RSI) entered the overbought zone.
