with yard signs showing support for President-elect Donald Trump, the agency said.<\/p>\n<p>FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell called the employee\u2019s action \u201creprehensible,\u201d and said the the employee or say when or where their actions happened.<\/p>\n<p>Florida <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/status\/1855030970140770445\">Gov. Ron DeSantis said<\/a> it happened in Florida. of Florida residents who support Trump and that he\u2019s directed the Florida Division of Emergency Management to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days,&#8221; DeSantis said.<\/p>\n<p>FEMA workers have been in the state helping residents recover from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/10\/11\/nx-s1-5149899\/florida-airports-amusement-parks-reopen-as-officials-weigh-damage-from-hurricane-milton\">Hurricane Milton<\/a> last month and, before that, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/09\/28\/nx-s1-5132035\/death-toll-from-hurricane-helene-mounts-as-aftermath-assessment-begins\">Hurricane Helene<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes a month after the agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/10\/07\/nx-s1-5144159\/fema-funding-migrants-disaster-relief-fund\">beat back falsehoods<\/a> about its disaster response funding. Criswell also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/10\/08\/nx-s1-5144720\/fema-prepares-for-hurricane-milton-while-managing-the-massive-response-to-helene\">told NPR last month<\/a> that &#8220;disaster response is non-political. It is all about the people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe take our mission to help everyone before, during and after disasters seriously.
