ceilings with chains, put their heads in sacks and beat their feet with sticks in a series of CCTV videos recently uncovered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/11\/04\/world-news\/idf-captures-ali-soleiman-al-assi-inside-syria\/\">Israel Defense Force<\/a>, Jewish officials said Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The harrowing clips, which were recovered from northern Gaza, revealed the brutal tactics that the Palestinian terrorists employed between 2018 to 2020 at the former Outpost 17 base in Jabalia,<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/11\/03\/world-news\/israeli-airstrikes-kill-at-least-31-people-in-gaza-medics-say\/\"> where IDF troops continue to fight <\/a>Hamas, Israel said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe materials uncovered, expose<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/12\/world-news\/rescued-hostage-details-physical-and-psychological-abuse-by-hamas\/\"> Hamas\u2019s brutal methods<\/a> for interrogating civilians, violating human rights, and systematically oppressing residents suspected of opposing the organization\u2019s rule,\u201d the IDF said in a statement. <\/p>\n<figure how Hamas interrogators chained suspects by their wrists and feet to the ceiling and put sacks over their heads during the questioning inside an office room. <\/p>\n<p>Some of the victims struggle to stand on one foot when the Hamas operatives decide to chain one of their legs. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Others were chained up by their ankles and hung upside down by the interrogators, who beat their soles with a long stick. <\/p>\n<p>Some civilians were also shown being held in similar positions inside a dark and dirty tiled room. <\/p>\n<p>Often times the Hamas interrogators could be seen chatting amongst themselves or completing paperwork as the suspects struggled just inches away from them. <\/p>\n<figure href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14063545\/gaza-hamas-torture-palestine-israel.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Daily Mail<\/a>, which noted that the videos could not be independently verified. <\/p>\n<p>There was also no context provided as to why the men in the videos were arrested by Hamas. <\/p>\n<p>The Hamas terror group has long been accused of detaining and torturing civilians when the targeted people are suspected of collaborating with Israel. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter rights activists, women, LGBTQ people and political opponents to brutal punishments. <\/p>\n<p>The tapes appear to match one man\u2019s description of the repeated torture he endured in Gaza around that timeframe when Hamas agents discovered he was gay. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey would torture me so badly,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.i24news.tv\/en\/news\/middle-east\/palestinian-territories\/1660138495-exclusive-gay-man-who-fled-gaza-speaks-about-experience-with-hamas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">he told i24News in 2022<\/a>. \u201cSometimes, they would tie my feet up and beat them with a stick. After that, every few years, they would arrest me and torture me in the same way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey wouldn\u2019t let me sleep or go to the bathroom inside.
