It was the 23rd mission for this rocket&#8217;s first stage, <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spacex.com\/launches\/mission\/?missionId=koreasat-6a\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.spacex.com\/launches\/mission\/?missionId=koreasat-6a\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">according to SpaceX<\/a>, equaling a mark set by two other Falcon 9 boosters.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest\" data-block-type=\"embed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\"\/>\n<p>Some eight minutes and 20 seconds into the flight, SpaceX&#8217;s Falcon 9 booster landed at Landing Zone 1 at <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/33926-cape-canaveral.html\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/33926-cape-canaveral.html\">Cape Canaveral Space Force Station<\/a>. This was this first stage booster&#8217;s 23rd landing, and SpaceX&#8217;s 364th landing of an orbital-class rocket overall, including boosters for both Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy. At this altitude, orbital speed matches our planet&#8217;s speed of rotation, allowing spacecraft to &#8220;hover&#8221; over the same patch of ground.
