de Quer\u00e9taro, about 120 miles northwest of Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>Security footage from the bar showed the gunmen piling out of their vehicle at around 9:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the suspects appeared to have huge, long-range guns, which they held up as they rushed into the popular bar.<\/p>\n<p>One of the shooters was seen starting to open fire outside the bar.<\/p>\n<p>More horrifying video from inside the bar showed the attackers shooting indiscriminately at people eating at tables.<\/p>\n<p>People were seen screaming and throwing themselves on the floor and under tables to hide from the bullets ricocheting across the bar.<\/p>\n<p>After a few minutes of gunfire, the group of criminals rushed back into the getaway car and escaped.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived at the bloody scene that night, they found 10 people dead and at least seven more injured, according to the city&#8217;s public security department chief Juan Luis Ferrusca.<\/p>\n<p>The killed victims included seven men and three women, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>Officials confirmed the four shooters came to the scene with long-range weapons.<\/p>\n<div id=\"bc-video-6364404116112\" class=\"brightcove\"><span the getaway truck and followed it to a nearby city, where they found the vehicle abandoned and on fire.<\/p>\n<p>One suspect has been detained.<\/p>\n<p>Quer\u00e9taro Governor Mauricio Kuri said the massacre was an &#8220;unprecedented event,&#8221; adding, &#8220;We cannot ever stand for this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI reiterate to our community that there will be punishment for those responsible for this brutal act,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-boxout\">\n<p><h3 class=\"article-boxout__headline t-s-border-color\">Where is Quer\u00e9taro?<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-boxout__content theme__background-color-rgba-20\">\n<p class=\"article__content--intro\">A shooting at a bar in Quer\u00e9taro killed 10 people late on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Santiago de Quer\u00e9taro is the capital of Quer\u00e9taro state.<\/p>\n<p>Quer\u00e9taro is located about 120 miles northwest of Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s known for its Spanish colonial architecture. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The search continues for the gunmen as their motive remains unclear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to close our borders and maintain security in our state,&#8221; Kuri said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe entire security system of Quer\u00e9taro is mobilized to find these criminals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kuri vowed to bring justice to the killers and said he was working to provide aid to the families of the victims.<\/p>\n<p>Quer\u00e9taro is considered a safer area of Mexico than its surrounding states, which have often been affected by drug cartel-related violence.<\/p>\n<p>Just last month, Chilpancingo mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/news\/12620565\/mexican-mayor-beheaded-car-cartel\/\" rel=\"\">Alejandro Arcos<\/a>
