We now know the restaurants that were honored in the inaugural <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khou.com\/search?q=michelin+guide\">Michelin Guide Texas edition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>The first Texas list was announced at a ceremony at Houston\u2019s 713 Music Hall Monday night. In all, 15 restaurants received a Michelin Star, including six in Houston. There were also 45 Bib Gourmands, which goes to a restaurant with great food at a great value, and four special awards. In all, the awards honored 117 restaurants and 26 different types of cuisine.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/us\/en\/article\/michelin-guide-ceremony\/michelin-guide-texas-stars-green-stars-sustainability\"><strong>See a list and learn more about all of the restaurants and people across Texas honored Monday night!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>\u201cOur anonymous Inspectors were impressed by the culinary community across the state of Texas,\u201d said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. \u201cThe selection reflects their findings by highlighting uniquely Texas flavors, such as Barbecue and Tex-Mex, as well as several international influences. Both of those \u2013 Dai Due and Emmer &amp; Ryne &#8212; are in Austin<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>As for the Bib Gourmand distinctions \u2013 restaurants with great food at a great value \u2013 these were the Houston-area restaurants honored.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<ul>\n<li>Blood Bros BBQ in Bellaire<\/li>\n<li>Ema in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Kau Ba in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Killen\u2019s in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Killen\u2019s BBQ in Pearland<\/li>\n<li>Mala Sichuan Bistro in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Nam Giao in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Nancy\u2019s Hustle in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Nobie&#8217;s in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Pinkerton\u2019s BBQ in Houston<\/li>\n<li>The Pit Room in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Rosie Cannonball in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Street to Kitchen in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Tejas Chocolate in Tomball<\/li>\n<li>Theodore Rex in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Truth BBQ in Houston<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>And for the special awards handed out Monday, one Houston restaurant was among the winners. Steven McDonald with Pappa Bros. Steakhouse in Houston earned the Michelin Sommelier Award. \u00a0The others were Julian Shaffer of Rye in Dallas, who earned the Cocktail Award, Hailey Pruitt and Lauren Beckman of Mixtli in San Antonio with the Service Award and the Young Chef Award went to Edgar Rico of Nixta Taqueria in Austin.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>There were also Michelin recommended restaurants. These are the ones in Houston that were honored.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<ul>\n<li>Baso in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Bludorn in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Brisket and Rice in Houston\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Candente in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Hidden Omakase in Houston \u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Late August in Houston<\/li>\n<li>Pappas Bros.
