The studio has set a release date of July 17, 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNolan\u2019s latest comes with even less plot or logline details than usual for the highly-secretive filmmaker. Various theoretical, even divergent, details been posited regarding the project \u2013 period vampire thriller, a helicopter action thriller \u2013 but insiders maintain that nothing has come close to nailing Nolan\u2019s real idea. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tUniversal had no comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe filmmaker is producing alongside his partner and wife Emma Thomas for their Syncopy banner. A shoot in the first half of 2025 is being planned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe new feature <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/christopher-nolan-next-movie-lands-at-universal-1235617025\/\">reunites Nolan<\/a> with the studio that made his drama\u00a0<em>Oppenheimer<\/em>\u00a0and propelled him to his first Oscars. He won best director and got a best picture statue as producer on the film, which earned a staggering $976 million worldwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWhile Nolan is fond of working with a certain repertoire of thespians, Nyong\u2019o will be new to his team. The actress is not, however, new to Universal. She is the voice star of <em>The Wild Robot<\/em>, the adaptation of Peter Brown\u2019s book by Universal arm DreamWorks Animation, which has proven a more-than-solid hit at the box office, having grossed almost $300 million since its release in September. She also starred in the studio\u2019s Jordan Peele-directed horror movie, <em>Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNyong\u2019o won an Academy Award\u00a0for her performance in Steve McQueen\u2019s\u00a0<em>12 Years a Slave<\/em>\u00a0and starred in<em> Black Panther<\/em> and its sequel, <em>Wakanda Forever<\/em>.
