Freevee will be phased out over the coming weeks, and its content will become available as part of Prime Video. The ad-supported tier of Prime Video is included as part of Amazon&#8217;s Prime membership for $15 a month.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To deliver a simpler viewing experience for customers, we have decided to phase out Freevee branding,&#8221; an Amazon spokesperson told <a data-i13n=\"elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:2;pos:1\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/digital\/news\/amazon-freevee-shutting-down-1236208451\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Variety;elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:2;pos:1;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"><em><\/em><\/a>. &#8220;There will be no change to the content available for Prime members, and a vast offering of free streaming content will still be accessible for non-Prime members, including select originals from Amazon MGM Studios, a variety of licensed movies and series, and a broad library of FAST channels \u2013 all available on Prime Video.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The free viewing platform went through several rebrands since its original launch as IMDb Freedive in January 2019.
