The service\u2019s content has already been migrated over to Prime Video and new episodes of Freevee shows will be available to people who don\u2019t pay for Prime, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2024\/11\/freevee-shut-down-amazon-prime-video-1236172644\/\"><em>Deadline<\/em> reports<\/a>. The brand will be phased out \u201cover the coming weeks,\u201d <em>Deadline<\/em> says. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">Freevee originally launched out of Amazon-owned IMDb in 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2019\/1\/10\/18177321\/imdb-freedive-ad-supported-free-movie-streaming-service\">as IMDb Freedive<\/a> and was rebranded a few months after launch <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2019\/06\/17\/amazons-imdb-freedive-rebrands-to-imdb-tv-adds-new-content-and-plans-european-expansion\/\">to IMDb TV<\/a> and then to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/4\/13\/23023835\/imdb-tv-amazon-freevee-rebrand\">Freevee in 2022<\/a>.
