Who would have thought we\u2019d be benching <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"9f4ZZkppMneXJAFj\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tyreek-hill-9f4ZZkppMneXJAFj\/\">Tyreek Hill<\/a> and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"Zk5GgVex9l3q9BqS\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/ceedee-lamb-Zk5GgVex9l3q9BqS\/\">CeeDee Lamb<\/a>, yet here we are\u2026 possibly.<\/p>\n<p>Reminder! Watson is ahead of Wicks, but even then, Wicks eats into the volume enough to prevent Watson from being trustable.<\/li>\n<li>Thomas Brown takes over for Shane Waldron as the <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"36\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/bears\/\">Bears<\/a> offensive coordinator, but I wouldn\u2019t expect much improvement after spending his 2023 season trying to coach up <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"jNeXr4xrk9yhH7P4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/bryce-young-jNeXr4xrk9yhH7P4\/\">Bryce Young<\/a>. There is a glimmer of hope for <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"XGV9gVOFefUVWSHi\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/keenan-allen-XGV9gVOFefUVWSHi\/\">Keenan Allen<\/a> given what we saw from Young and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"wp50rfC8lPuVYJSf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/adam-thielen-wp50rfC8lPuVYJSf\/\">Adam Thielen<\/a> in the first half of last year, and there is similarities in their usage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"45\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/jaguars\/\">Jaguars<\/a> at Lions, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Whether it\u2019s <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"0gjixjs0a34LXvKj\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/trevor-lawrence-0gjixjs0a34LXvKj\/\">Trevor Lawrence<\/a> or <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"18zaLFAmDNfVSyfc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/mac-jones-18zaLFAmDNfVSyfc\/\">Mac Jones<\/a>, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"xsoTkJbRclcZk9PO\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/brian-thomas-jr-xsoTkJbRclcZk9PO\/\">Brian Thomas Jr.<\/a> could have another weak showing (health or not), as the <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"41\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/lions\/\">Lions<\/a> run man coverage the most (40.0%), and Thomas goes from 2.48 YPRR against zone to 1.44 when facing man.<\/li>\n<li>If it is Jones under center, the entire offense is a fade outside of <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"a01lRwl8jJhPEBPC\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/travis-etienne-jr-a01lRwl8jJhPEBPC\/\">Travis Etienne Jr.<\/a> and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"BMQ7nBqvYI1IRplz\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/evan-engram-BMQ7nBqvYI1IRplz\/\">Evan Engram<\/a>, and yes, I like Etienne whether or not <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"VXvWnHvl7Hrtppgu\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tank-bigsby-VXvWnHvl7Hrtppgu\/\">Tank Bigsby<\/a> is active \u2014 as from previous weeks, Etienne is the passing game running back of choice. If Lawrence somehow returns, Thomas goes back to Top 30.<\/li>\n<li>The only teams not to have a running back score against the Jaguars were the <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"38\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/browns\/\">Browns<\/a> (Week 2) and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"48\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/vikings\/\">Vikings<\/a> (last week), even with <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"ULpvk1KL29cIpeSm\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/aaron-jones-ULpvk1KL29cIpeSm\/\">Aaron Jones<\/a> and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"uTntODzdNDlv9xgj\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/cam-akers-uTntODzdNDlv9xgj\/\">Cam Akers<\/a> combining for 30-for-126 on the ground. David Montgomery is a good touchdown bet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Vikings at Titans, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Vikings blitz the most \u2014 27.3% of the time \u2014 and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"I44N6gv94oPHvF3a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/will-levis-I44N6gv94oPHvF3a\/\">Will Levis<\/a> has the second-worst YD\/Comp when blitzed (6.8), ranking 43 of 44 QBs. Only <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"ImPYeV9gHSVc4sRf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/aidan-oconnell-ImPYeV9gHSVc4sRf\/\">Aidan O\u2019Connell<\/a> is worse (5.5).<\/li>\n<li>Even while getting banged up, Aaron Jones is still inside the Top 10 for team RBTouch% (66.9), and it jumps to 86.7% when down by a touchdown or more (third, behind only <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"L6EeYsywt7kR0LKG\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/jk-dobbins-L6EeYsywt7kR0LKG\/\">J.K. Dobbins<\/a> 100.0% and Barkley 88.0%).<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"2Zv6pZ5WKRvhSYqM\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/jordan-addison-2Zv6pZ5WKRvhSYqM\/\">Jordan Addison<\/a> had one game over 17.4 TmTGT% before <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"Yp7BNMxs6Jyl4I97\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tj-hockenson-Yp7BNMxs6Jyl4I97\/\">T.J. Hockenson<\/a>\u2019s return and then target rates of 15.2 and 13.5 the past two games. He also has just two games over 8.1 fantasy points, which means Addison isn\u2019t more than a Hail Mary start.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"53\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/raiders\/\">Raiders<\/a> at Dolphins, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In Jakobi Meyers\u2019 four games since Week 4 (when <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"FBJF4NEJQGDVUpnC\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/davante-adams-FBJF4NEJQGDVUpnC\/\">Davante Adams<\/a> was done playing for the Raiders), he has a 31.1 TmTGT% with 11.6 FPPG, which ranks fourth and 24th, respectively, among WRs.<\/li>\n<li>Week 10 was Tyreek Hill\u2019s highest weekly fantasy finish since Week 1. He was WR23 with 10.2 points, and Week 1 was also the only time Hill topped 10.2 points (22.5). His wrist injury looks to be a real issue, as is the inconsistent <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"47\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/dolphins\/\">Dolphins<\/a> offense. Hill still has weekly WR1 upside, but he\u2019s no longer a must-start in shallower leagues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"59\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/rams\/\">Rams<\/a> at Patriots, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We could see extra <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"eL4iHBPbCAbU6Gmw\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/drake-maye-eL4iHBPbCAbU6Gmw\/\">Drake Maye<\/a> rushing, as the Rams lead the league in Press% when sending 5+ rushers (55.1%), and despite not starting until Week 6, Maye has the eighth-most QB rushing yards when pressured (118).<\/li>\n<li>Week 10 was the first time since Week 2 that the opposing running backs haven\u2019t totaled at least 112 rushing yards against the <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"49\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/patriots\/\">Patriots<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Since their bye, the Rams have allowed the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game (90.0), and while that started with the Raiders, it includes the Vikings, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"57\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/seahawks\/\">Seahawks<\/a> and Dolphins. So, if you want to take the past three weeks, they actually improve to fourth-fewest rushing yards per game (79.3) and fewest YPC (3.1).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Browns at Saints, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Since Week 7, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"3FORLZc9eXy74rbr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/cedric-tillman-3FORLZc9eXy74rbr\/\">Cedric Tillman<\/a> is second in FPPG (18.7 \u2014 22.2 for <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"ToHiDqo1AnUHYTWK\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/jamarr-chase-ToHiDqo1AnUHYTWK\/\">Ja\u2019Marr Chase<\/a>) with a 23.7 TmTGT% (17th), 9.4 TD\/TGT% (15th), 4 red zone targets and 3 end zone targets.<\/li>\n<li>Yes, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"QZu3f1NNn1Im0ne7\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/marquez-valdes-scantling-QZu3f1NNn1Im0ne7\/\">Marquez Valdes-Scantling<\/a> likely posted his best game of 2024 in Week 10, but <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"linudLDO0YoIWthi\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/derek-carr-linudLDO0YoIWthi\/\">Derek Carr<\/a> is fifth in the percentage of attempts for 20+ Air Yards (14.7). As long as MVS is a top-two starter for the <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"50\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/saints\/\">Saints<\/a>, he\u2019ll be a weekly boom\/bust WR4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"44\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/colts\/\">Colts<\/a> at Jets, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"33\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/ravens\/\">Ravens<\/a> at <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"55\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/steelers\/\">Steelers<\/a>, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Trying to predict <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"rG9rikRbkkonEdna\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/zay-flowers-rG9rikRbkkonEdna\/\">Zay Flowers<\/a> vs. <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"7r64wrPtMtfN7lWT\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/rashod-bateman-7r64wrPtMtfN7lWT\/\">Rashod Bateman<\/a> (and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"ivPiSTgSWxTHPDEt\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/mark-andrews-ivPiSTgSWxTHPDEt\/\">Mark Andrews<\/a>)? Flowers has a 3.04 YPRR vs. Cover-3 (Bateman 1.77; Andrews 0.82) vs. 2.07 Flowers, 2.05 Andrews and 1.79 Bateman against anything else, and the Steelers are third in Cover-3 at 46.7%.<\/li>\n<li>Only Anthony Richardson has a higher percentage of attempts going for 20+ Air Yards (17.6 to 23.3) than <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"iJrFtUU6uxSN7miK\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/russell-wilson-iJrFtUU6uxSN7miK\/\">Russell Wilson<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Since Wilson took over, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"qZ3H42PDGITKnjdb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/george-pickens-qZ3H42PDGITKnjdb\/\">George Pickens<\/a> is fifth in FPPG (15.7), eighth in TmAirYD% (41.2), seventh in TD\/TGT% (9.5, of qualified WRs), and second in YPRR (3.21).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"32\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/falcons\/\">Falcons<\/a> at Broncos, Sunday, 4 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As mentioned a few times this season, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"4nKwHYTumLD5kZWP\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/bijan-robinson-4nKwHYTumLD5kZWP\/\">Bijan Robinson<\/a> sees a larger share when the Falcons are down by a touchdown or more \u2014 67.6 RBTouch% to 25.0% for <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"FQl4SAM9LswbJquR\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tyler-allgeier-FQl4SAM9LswbJquR\/\">Tyler Allgeier<\/a>, compared to a 50\/50 perfect split when up by a touchdown or more.<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"kpUEeHsl9DVtjiyc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/audric-estime-kpUEeHsl9DVtjiyc\/\">Audric Estime<\/a> is an interesting stash, but I wouldn\u2019t look to slam him in lineups immediately, especially since he didn\u2019t have any of the RB targets last week (both went to <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"12mmj55SWlSWEHEJ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/javonte-williams-12mmj55SWlSWEHEJ\/\">Javonte Williams<\/a>). Even if Estime is the new lead to stay, it would be as the primary early and short yardage back, with some goal-line use mixed in, which caps him as an RB3 for now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Seahawks at 49ers, Sunday, 4 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Assuming <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"9cy2RC8JyNrBYaLj\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/dk-metcalf-9cy2RC8JyNrBYaLj\/\">DK Metcalf<\/a> is back, Jaxon Smith-Njigba goes back to a high-upside, but inconsistent, WR4. JSN goes from 21.1 TmTGT% with Metcalf to 27.7% without Metcalf, and some crazier jumps in YPRR (1.18 to 2.68), TD\/TGT% (1.9 to 8.7) and YPC (8.6 to 18.4).<\/li>\n<li>Not only did <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"lHyALtoXdwgWGsr0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/jauan-jennings-lHyALtoXdwgWGsr0\/\">Jauan Jennings<\/a> replace <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"53v7fOffjiSNI8Y9\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/brandon-aiyuk-53v7fOffjiSNI8Y9\/\">Brandon Aiyuk<\/a> in production, he did so in Aiyuk\u2019s role too \u2014 74.5% of his snaps were with him lined up out wide after entering the game at 48.9% for the season. When lined up wide, Jennings has 17.6 YPC compared to 13.9 otherwise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"46\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/chiefs\/\">Chiefs<\/a> at Bills, Sunday, 4 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Chiefs might want to lower their Blitz% (third-highest, 23.7%), as <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"9zLTUSPpy6pFa4xs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/josh-allen-9zLTUSPpy6pFa4xs\/\">Josh Allen<\/a> has 11 touchdowns and no interceptions when blitzed, with a 13.9 TD\/Att% compared to 6-4-2.7% when not blitzed.<\/li>\n<li>Interestingly, their Blitz% in the playoff matchup last year was their lowest against Allen (22.2%), when it had been 32.9% in all the previous matchups. Stroud<\/a> has been pressured on 39.4% of his dropbacks (sixth most), and he has a 38.9 Comp% and 3.8% turnover per touch without Collins while under pressure, compared to 70.6% and 0.0%, respectively, with Collins. Stroud, HOU \u2014 See above. Risky, but Collins is back and the <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"39\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/cowboys\/\">Cowboys<\/a> stink.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>RUNNING BACK<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"NW1Jv9Ej3oDBk3yr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/nick-chubb-NW1Jv9Ej3oDBk3yr\/\">Nick Chubb<\/a>, CLE \u2014 Rooting for a full workload off the bye, and the Saints defense is tasty.<\/li>\n<li>J.K. They should have left them back in the AFL.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Seahawks<\/strong> \u2014 The neon green ones with navy blue on the sleeves. Why?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Packers what?<\/strong> \u2014 Blue and gold but with brown helmets?! It was due to an NFL rule (in 2011) but no excuses for this nonsense.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Broncos (again)<\/strong> \u2014 From the 60s \u2014 the Bronco on the helmet is derpy, and the white jerseys with orange kind of on the sleeve are awful.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bears 1994 throwback<\/strong> \u2014 Maybe our grandparents can tell us why teams loved ugly stripping so much back in the day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rams<\/strong> (<strong>when they were stuck)<\/strong> \u2014 Due to the NFL rule (again) about changing uniforms within a certain time, the Rams were stuck with white in their helmets and gold for the rest in the worst version of their uniforms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Honorable Mentions (Non-NFL)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maryland Terps \u2014 White with the state flag on the shoulders and helmets \u2014 I\u2019m in Virginia and knew the flag was the representation goal, and it\u2019s still a mess and hard to see.<\/li>\n<li>Montreal Canadiens \u2014 Going with the trifecta coloring of the bumblebee look? I don\u2019t know\u2026 barbershop pole? Look them up.<\/li>\n<li>University of Florida \u2014 They were from 2017, and they were supposed to look like gator skin\u2026 I think?
