{"id":125518,"date":"2024-11-13T23:00:34","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T16:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=125518"},"modified":"2024-11-13T23:00:34","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T16:00:34","slug":"full-house-star-dave-coulier-has-cancer-stage-3-non-hodgkin-lymphoma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=125518","title":{"rendered":"Full House Star Dave Coulier Has Cancer: Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/full-house\/\" id=\"auto-tag_full-house_1\" data-tag=\"full-house\">Full House<\/a><\/em> star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/dave-coulier\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dave-coulier_1\" data-tag=\"dave-coulier\">Dave Coulier<\/a> has been diagnosed with stage 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/cancer\/types\/non-hodgkin-lymphoma\/about\/what-is-non-hodgkin-lymphoma.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">non-Hodgkin lymphoma<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe actor and comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/dave-coulier-non-hodgkin-lymphoma-exclusive-8743523\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tells <em>People <\/em>magazine<\/a> that he was diagnosed in October after an upper respiratory infection caused swelling in his lymph nodes leading his doctor to advise that he get PET and CT scans and a biopsy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThree days later, my doctors called me back and they said, \u2018We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma and it\u2019s called B cell and it\u2019s very aggressive,\u2019\u201d he recalls in his <em>People<\/em> interview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe adds, \u201cI went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming. This has been a really fast roller coaster ride of a journey.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe 65-year-old played Joey Gladstone on the hit ABC sitcom <em>Full House<\/em> from 1987-1995 and reprised the role for Netflix\u2019s <em>Fuller House<\/em>, which ran from 2016-2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAfter his diagnosis, Coulier quickly joined forces with close friends in medicine and his wife to meet the cancer \u201chead-on,\u201d sharing that his bone marrow test has come back negative, \u201cAt that point, my chances of curable went from something low to 90 percent range. And so that was a great day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe tells <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/dave-coulier-played-uncle-joey-full-house-reveals-cancer-rcna179929\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBC News\u2019 <em>Today<\/em> show<\/a> that he\u2019s had three surgeries since he was diagnosed five weeks ago and tells <em>Today <\/em>and <em>People <\/em>he has already begun chemotherapy, with the chemo treatments expected to wrap in February, he tells <em>Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cShould be total remission by that time. Fingers crossed,\u201d Coulier tells Today. \u201cI\u2019m treating this as a journey. If I can help someone who\u2019s watching today get an early screening \u2014 a breast exam, a colonoscopy, a prostate exam \u2014 go do it because, for me, early detection meant everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWhile he tells <em>Today<\/em> that he \u201clost a little bit of hair,\u201d he reveals to <em>People<\/em> that he shaved his head as a \u201cpreemptive strike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI kind of look like a little baby bird now,\u201d he adds to <em>Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tCoulier sports a hat on the YouTube video version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WYAswKNOQJs&amp;ab_channel=FullHouseRewind\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wednesday\u2019s <em>Full House Rewind<\/em> podcast<\/a>, which he co-hosts with Marla Sokoloff, where he opens up further about his diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI started the podcast wearing a hat, and I said, I\u2019ve always been a man of many hats, but this hat has special significance because a couple of weeks ago, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma,\u201d he tells <em>People<\/em>. \u201cThat was really a conscious decision of, I\u2019m going to meet this head-on, and I want people to know it\u2019s my life. I\u2019m not going to try and hide anything. I would rather talk about it and open the discussion and inspire people.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tCoulier said he is trying to keep a positive outlook amid his diagnosis, particularly for his wife and son Luc, who is expecting his first child.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI looked at how those words affected [Melissa] and I thought, you know what, I\u2019m going to be strong throughout this, not just for me, but I\u2019m going to be strong for her,\u201d he says to <em>People<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tCoulier has been taking inspiration from family members who also went through cancer, he tells <em>People<\/em>, including his mom and sister Sharon, who both died of breast cancer, and his older sister Karen, whom he has been leaning on as they fight cancer together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI saw what those women in my family went through, and I thought to myself, \u2018If I can be just 1\/10th of a percent as strong as they were, then I\u2019m going to be just fine,\u201d he says.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOf his bond with Karen, Coulier says, \u201cMy sister was a registered nurse, and so she\u2019s seen this from different optics than I have. She\u2019s been so supportive and she\u2019s funny. So we\u2019re making jokes about this. One of my jokes is in four short weeks I\u2019ve gone from a Virgo to a Cancer. I\u2019m a huge hockey fan. So when they said \u2018You\u2019ve got NHL,\u2019 I thought, \u2018I finally made it to the NHL.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAnd Coulier says he\u2019s \u201cremarkably calm\u201d with whatever happens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWhen I first got the news, I was stunned, of course, because I didn\u2019t expect it, and then reality settled in and I found myself remarkably calm with whatever the outcome was going to be,\u201d he says. \u201cI don\u2019t know how to explain it, but there was an inner calm about all of it, and I think that that\u2019s part of what I\u2019ve seen with the women in my family go through. They really instilled that in me and inspired me in a way because they were magnificent going through what they went through, and I just thought, \u2018I\u2019m okay with this too.\u2019 I\u2019ve had an incredible life on a journey with incredible people around me and I\u2019m okay. It does change perspective for sure.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tFor now, he\u2019s dealing with daily ups and downs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI have my good days. I have my bad days,\u201d he says. \u201cSome days are nauseous and dizzy, and then there\u2019s other days where the steroids kick in, and I feel like I have a ton of energy. I actually skated yesterday with some friends here in Detroit. We just went and skated around and shot pucks, and it was wonderful just to be out there doing something that I love and just trying to stay focused on all the great stuff that I have in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAnd he hopes he can inspire others to get tested early: \u201cTake great care of yourself, because there\u2019s a lot to live for.
