Investors will also be listening for any details on the search for CEO Bob Iger&#8217;s successor.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what Wall Street expects Disney to report on Thursday, according to analysts polled by LSEG:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Earnings per share:<\/strong> $1.10 expected<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue:<\/strong>\u00a0$22.45 billion expected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wall Street has been paying close attention to streaming&#8217;s path to profitability. Last <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/08\/07\/disney-dis-q3-earnings-report-2024.html\">quarter<\/a> Disney&#8217;s combined streaming business, which consists of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+, turned a profit for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Subscriber growth will be top of mind, too, especially as Disney&#8217;s competitors in recent weeks have reported hefty subscriber gains. <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/WBD\/\">Warner Bros. Discovery<\/a><span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> said Max <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/11\/07\/warner-bros-discovery-wbd-earnings-q3-2024.html#:~:text=Warner%20Bros.%20Discovery%20swung%20to,advertising%20revenue%20for%20the%20segment.\">added<\/a> 7.2 million subscribers during its most recent quarter, <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-5\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/NFLX\/\">Netflix<\/a><span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> added 5 million customers, and <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-6\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/CMCSA\/\">Comcast&#8217;<\/a><span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"\/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>s Peacock reported 3 million additions.<\/p>\n<p>Still, media companies have begun to focus on profit-driving measures, such as ad-supported tiers and password sharing crackdowns.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the wake of huge subscriber gains at Max but deceleration at Netflix, all eyes are on Disney&#8217;s streaming numbers. The company is sure to experience a bump due to its password-sharing crackdown, but that will be short-lived,&#8221; said Mike Proulx, research director and vice president at Forrester.<\/p>\n<p>The state of the theme park business will also be top of mind. Theme parks have been experiencing a slowdown in consumer demand in the U.S. Last quarter Disney reported flat attendance, particularly at its U.S. parks.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Disney recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/10\/21\/disney-ceo-succession-plan-board-chair.html#:~:text=Disney%20will%20name%20Bob%20Iger's,become%20board%20chair%20next%20year&amp;text=Disney%20will%20name%20a%20successor,Parker%20as%20chairman%20in%20January.\">announced<\/a> it will name CEO Iger&#8217;s replacement in early 2026, led by incoming chairman of the board, James Gorman.
