Most notably, the Jennings Creek Fire, which is burning along the New York-New Jersey border, has scorched almost 7,000 acres across both states.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/njdepforestfire\/status\/1857180036878500210\">New Jersey Forest Service<\/a> reported Thursday evening that the wildfire is now 75% contained in the Garden State.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The fire has reached 69% containment on the New York side of the border, according to the latest report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OrangeCountyGovernment\/posts\/pfbid02mNziveSFTvjdKoxuFc1EPa4MKwp6qjM29dTTLURFKZrnscxtctj35FZZKheeXQR4l\">State Department of Environmental Conservation<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wildfires\"><strong>WILDFIRE UPDATES NEAR ME<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">Flames at the height of the Jennings Creek wildfire on Sunday, November 10, 2024 (Paramus Fire Company 2\/ Facebook).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">Dry air to fuel wildfire threat in the Northeast<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Smoke from the Jennings Creek Fire, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/watch\/play-77d0f2111000e62\">blew into Manhattan last weekend<\/a>, could do so again this weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">According to the FOX Forecast Center, computer models indicate northeasterly winds could bring some smoke back into New York City on Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Cool, but dry, weather is expected to reduce humidity into the 30-40% range. Kathy Hochul declared a statewide burn ban through the end of November.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">New Jersey is at a Stage 3 Campfire Restriction, which prohibits all open burning.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Orange County, New York, remains in a State of Emergency due to the Jennings Creek Fire.
