{"id":126666,"date":"2024-11-16T22:44:55","date_gmt":"2024-11-16T15:44:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=126666"},"modified":"2024-11-16T22:44:55","modified_gmt":"2024-11-16T15:44:55","slug":"malcolm-xs-family-sues-fbi-cia-and-nypd-over-his-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=126666","title":{"rendered":"Malcolm X\u2019s family sues FBI, CIA and NYPD over his murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The family of murdered black civil rights activist Malcolm X is suing the FBI, the CIA and the New York police department (NYPD) for $100m (\u00a379m), accusing them of a having role in his death.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The lawsuit says the agencies were involved in the plot and failed to stop the killing.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">\u201cWe believe that they all conspired to assassinate Malcolm X, one of the greatest thought leaders of the 20th Century,\u201d Ben Crump, a civil rights attorney who is representing the family, said at a news conference.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Malcolm X was killed in 1965 when three armed men shot him 21 times as he was preparing to speak in New York. <!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The lawsuit alleges that a \u201ccorrupt, unlawful and unconstitutional\u201d relationship between law enforcement and the \u201cruthless killers\u201d allowed for the murder.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">A link between the agencies and the killers \u201cwent unchecked for many years and was actively concealed, condoned, protected and facilitated by government agents\u201d, the lawsuit says.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">It says the NYPD, coordinating with the agencies, also detained members of Malcolm X&#8217;s security team days before the shooting and intentionally removed their officers from inside the ballroom where he was shot.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Federal agents, including undercover operatives, were in the ballroom during the assassination and took no steps to intervene, the lawsuit alleges.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The family announced their <!-- --><a target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-us-canada-64727098\" class=\"sc-c9299ecf-0 bZUiKB\" rel=\"noopener\">intention to sue<!-- --><\/a> last year.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The NYPD said it &#8220;will decline comment on pending litigation&#8221; and the CIA did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The FBI told the Associated Press that it was its \u201cstandard practice\u201d not to comment on litigation.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Malcolm X was a lead spokesman for the Nation of Islam &#8211; which advocated separatism for black Americans &#8211; before his acrimonious split from the organisation.
