He performed all over the world, including with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City and the Royal Opera House in London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">In 2013 he married a fellow Mariinsky Theatre dancer, Maria Shirinkina, with whom he had two children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">Russian dancers paid tribute to Shklyarov after the news broke, with Irina Baranovskaya calling his death \u201ca stupid, unbearable accident\u201d on Telegram.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">Baranovskaya said Shklyarov \u201cwent out onto the balcony to get some air and smoke\u201d and \u201clost his balance\u201d on the \u201cvery narrow balcony\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">A Mariinsky dancer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DCbzewSIG0v\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">Diana Vishneva, wrote<\/a>: \u201cThis tragedy brings only tears and sadnesss \u2026 This is the tragedy for our theatre, our common grief, feeling of emptiness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">\u201cYou were the favourite partner \u2026 My beautiful Romeo, my brave Prince in Cinderella.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">American Ballet Theater, where Shklyarov was a guest performer in 2014 and 2015, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/abtofficial\/p\/DCcTCuoPb0h\/?img_index=1\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">remembered him on Instagram<\/a> as \u201can extraordinary artist whose grace and passion inspired audiences worldwide\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">\u201cRest in peace, Vladimir.
