Mr. Richmond will be on supervised release for three years after his prison term ends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Mr. Richmond was <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/nytimes.com\/2024\/01\/22\/us\/army-jan-6-iraq-manslaughter-kadir.html\" title=\"\">arrested in January<\/a> on several federal charges, including civil disorder; entering and remaining in a restricted area with a deadly or dangerous weapon; and assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers, <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-dc\/pr\/louisiana-man-arrested-assaulting-law-enforcement-and-other-charges-during-jan-6-capitol\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">prosecutors said at the time<\/a>. He pleaded guilty to the assault charge in August. His lawyer, John S.
