FOX Weather&#8217;s Max Gorden reports.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. <\/strong>\u2013<strong> <\/strong>Fire managers at Yosemite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/national-parks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Park<\/a> declared an end to the 2024 fire season as of Friday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">They cited what they deemed &#8220;low&#8221; fire danger and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/california\/yosemite-national-park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wet weather in the forecast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Accordingly, seasonal firefighters have begun to leave Yosemite.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The national park is open for visitors over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/holidays\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">holidays<\/a>, with some road closures dictated by the weather.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/atmospheric-river-northwest-california-oregon-washington\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>BOMB CYCLONE TO SLAM WEST COAST<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">Wildfire season began in June\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Yosemite saw several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/wildfires\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wildfires<\/a> this year, the majority of which were started by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/lightning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lightning<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The most recent fire activity was reported in the National Park back on Oct. 15, when the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/YosemiteFire\/posts\/pfbid02KGUMNDyE2twypgWBp9E4i6iTvK89FD5d6Jo7XcXvzYYhZ3DRYSnY5krPTrBimt9El\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Echo Fire<\/a> reached 65 acres in a remote part of the park&#8217;s wilderness.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">With fire season lifted, those living near park lands are now able to make residential burn piles. Those are piles created from brush and woody vegetation in the area.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The University of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California<\/a> believes this is an important part of fire management.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;Pile burning is<strong> <\/strong>an affordable and effective way to dispose of brush and woody vegetation around your house.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Fire season was declared on June 7 this year.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Fire season is declared when there is moderate fire danger for three consecutive days.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/extreme-weather\/snowpack-offers-yosemite-national-park-glacier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SNOWPACK OFFERS LIFELINE FOR &#8216;TERMINAL&#8217; YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK GLACIER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">Time-lapse video shows the mesmerizing Firefall at Horsetail Fall, a seasonal waterfall within Yosemite National Park.
