It\u2019s very unlike me to make a public statement about anything,\u201d Hall told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2024\/nov\/17\/ive-had-a-wild-chaotic-beautiful-life-rebecca-hall-on-race-regrets-and-learning-to-be-herself\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Guardian<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI make the stuff, that\u2019s how I am political. I don\u2019t think of myself as an \u2018actor-vist,\u2019 I\u2019m not that person. And, I kind of regret making that statement, because I don\u2019t think it\u2019s the responsibility of his actors to speak to that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tShe recalled being \u201cin a tangle\u201d working on the set of Allen\u2019s movie, when allegations broke against the film\u2019s producer <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/harvey-weinstein\/\">Harvey Weinstein<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/dylan-farrow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dylan Farrow<\/a>\u2018s resurfaced <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2018\/01\/mira-sorvino-dylan-farrow-letter-woody-allen-1202240770\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sexual assault allegations<\/a> against her father also prompted Hall to speak up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cLike, in this moment, it\u2019s the most important thing to believe the women,\u201d she explained. \u201cYes, of course, there\u2019s going to be complications and nuances in these stories, but we\u2019re redressing a balance here. I don\u2019t think that makes me apathetic or not engaged.
