After a series of suspicious texts from her phone, the 30-year-old Hawaii woman has gone silent \u2013 and her family is desperately trying to find her.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3nthcjy0001356mr2vituux@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Kobayashi was traveling from Maui, Hawaii, to New York and had a connecting flight at Los Angeles International Airport, her sister, Sydni, told CNN by phone Monday. She had the same itinerary as an ex-boyfriend; the pair decided to keep their flights since they couldn\u2019t get a refund but would be going their separate ways once they landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3nthcjy0002356mmnze2bfi@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Hannah was going to spend time in upstate New York with her aunt, Sydni said. But November 11 was the last day anyone heard from her.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3nthcjy0003356mjf82vuca@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Sydni said text messages from Hannah in the lead-up to her disappearance did not sound like her. Hannah used words like \u201chun,\u201d \u201clove\u201d and \u201cbabe.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3nthcjz0004356m9nl92ys9@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cI personally don\u2019t think that was my sister,\u201d Sydni said. \u201cShe doesn\u2019t use the word \u2018hun.\u2019 \u2018Love\u2019 and \u2018babe,\u2019 but never \u2018hun.\u2019 Even her close friends have said the same.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3nthcjz0005356mh5r3ispq@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Sydni added, \u201cThe reason why it\u2019s so concerning is because we\u2019re so close and I\u2019ve known her to always be very grounded and she\u2019s always had a calm and collected demeanor. CNN has obtained a photo that appears to show Hannah getting off the flight at the Los Angeles airport. Hannah did not board her scheduled flight to New York that night, her sister told CNN. Her ex-boyfriend, however, took that connecting flight.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000r356msyjkms3f@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The next day, Hannah was spotted at a Taschen bookstore at a shopping center called The Grove in Los Angeles, her sister said, and her family doesn\u2019t know why. She then sent a Venmo payment to two people whose names the family does not recognize, according to Sydni.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000s356m5xtcussd@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            On Sunday, November 10, Sydni said, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e_bthVI5rMM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video was posted<\/a> on YouTube showing Hannah at the LeBron XXII Trial Experience, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nike.com\/experiences\/events\/details?eventID=47622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">event<\/a> held at the Nike store in the same shopping center. A photo of the event was also posted on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DCOCme2x2nW\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram account<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000t356m5g7x1mc4@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            On November 11 \u2013 the last day anyone heard from Hannah \u2013 her mother texted her, asking whether she made it to New York. Hannah responded no, Sydni said. Hannah also sent messages to a friend saying she didn\u2019t feel safe, and that someone was trying to steal her identify and funds, according to screenshots Sydni sent to CNN.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000u356m4k115uys@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cDeep Hackers wiped my identity, stole all of my funds, &amp; have had me on a mind f**k since Friday,\u201d one message from Hannah to a friend said.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000v356mzv13momi@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Another message said, \u201cI got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds,\u201d followed by a message saying \u201cFor someone I thought I loved.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000w356mebazx4od@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            On Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department missing persons unit made a poster about Hannah\u2019s disappearance, saying she was last seen at the airport. It <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lapdmpu\/posts\/pfbid02jTvvvEnkqJTJ2euU4v6YHgZW3rSjisRpzPHdEE9vjas95eDehJJZd4r6oYQYvgNPl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> she has freckles on her face and a tattoo on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lapdmpu\/posts\/pfbid02jTvvvEnkqJTJ2euU4v6YHgZW3rSjisRpzPHdEE9vjas95eDehJJZd4r6oYQYvgNPl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">forearm<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000x356mjxv0qa9x@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            CNN has reached out to the LAPD for more information. The FBI is assisting the LAPD in the investigation, the field office said in an email to CNN on Monday.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000y356mwfw27uze@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            On Sunday, in a statement posted to Facebook, Sydni said the family had obtained surveillance footage showing Hannah around the downtown Metro train station near Crypto.com Arena, although it was unclear exactly when that footage was taken.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep000z356m191p7a5i@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            In the footage, Hannah is not alone and \u201cdoes not appear to be in good condition,\u201d the family wrote on Facebook, saying they are unable to share further details.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3ntihep0010356m48eihmge@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cShe\u2019s always been kind, courteous and loving has had a warm nature to her.
