The official X page for Microsoft\u2019s flight sim <a data-i13n=\"cpos:1;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MSFS_Support\/status\/1858932444260421714\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:@MSFS_Support;cpos:1;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> posted an update that several users are reporting \u201clong initial loading times.\u201d Not exactly the debut anyone was hoping for.<\/p>\n<p>The post blames the game\u2019s slowdown on the large number of server requests trying to log into the game at once \u2014\u00a0maybe something Microsoft should have expected. The post also recommends rebooting your computer or console if the initial load makes it past 90 percent mark and then stalls out. If it\u2019s under 90 percent and still loading, Microsoft advises \u201cwaiting to allow the loading to proceed as normal.\u201d Our own <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/about\/editors\/kris-holt\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Kris Holt;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> has been stuck looking at the very same loading screen for around 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Xbox launched <em>Flight Simulator 2024<\/em> and added it to its <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/gaming\/xbox\/the-first-game-pass-additions-for-november-include-flight-simulator-2024-and-metal-slug-tactics-155259538.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Game Pass Ultimate;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> catalog for PC, Xbox Series X\/S and the cloud today following a <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/gaming\/pc\/the-microsoft-flight-simulator-2024-technical-alpha-happens-this-month-144231252.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:technical alpha test;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> in October for the PC version.
