Because the moon theory was proved true for Trailer 1. Two months before Trailer 1 came out, <a class=\"link jsx-1337145738 jsx-3925284146 underlined\" data-cy=\"styled-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/excitement-for-rockstars-gta-6-reveal-is-sending-fans-to-the-moon\">Rockstar released a GTA Online image that included the moon<\/a> in a phase (Waning Gibbous) that ended up corresponding with <a class=\"link jsx-1337145738 jsx-3925284146 underlined\" data-cy=\"styled-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/rockstar-confirms-gta-6-trailer-1-release-date\">the day Rockstar announced the release date of Trailer 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><output class=\"box-wrapper jsx-2673806401\" data-cy=\"article-slideshow\"><button type=\"button\" style=\"display:none\" class=\"jsx-2228525885\"\/><\/p>\n<div data-cy=\"slideshow-view-trigger\">\n<div data-cy=\"slideshow-preview\" class=\"jsx-2569068517 slideshow-preview\">\n<h3 class=\"title5 jsx-62124236 jsx-1085005187\" data-cy=\"slideshow-preview-title\">99 Details in the GTA 6 Trailer &#8211; Slideshow<\/h3>\n<div data-cy=\"slideshow-images-container\" class=\"jsx-2569068517 images-container\"><button type=\"button\" data-cy=\"hero-image\" aria-label=\"Open Slideshow\" class=\"jsx-2569068517 hero-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The trailer\u2019s opening shot is pure Florida, the colours of the setting sun evoking the \u2018Save the Date\u2019 Tweet that Rockstar put out ahead of the trailer. You can even see the birds and the palm trees.&#10;&#10;The traffic on the road in the foreground includes a variety of GTA staples, including trucks, RVs, boats, and motorbikes. And on the side of a semi we can see the branding for Patriot, the beer that first appeared in Grand Theft Auto 4.&#10;&#10;Off in the distance we can see an incredibly tall broadcast mast, based on the real WTVY TV Tower. Fun fact: This is the highest point in all of Florida. The real-life moon ends its current Waning Gibbous phase today, November 22, and from tomorrow moves on to the Last Quarter phase. With GTA 6&#8217;s fall 2025 release window on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S still on the cards, according to Take-Two, you\u2019d expect Rockstar to pipe up sooner rather than later. But will the moon show fans the way?
