Nov. 22, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>PLUMTREE, N.C. \u2013 <\/strong>When Hurricane Helene flooded parts of western <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/north-carolina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Carolina<\/a> in late September, it destroyed many businesses, including a 200-year-old Christmas tree farm in the town of Plumtree.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Avery Farms lost 60,000 Christmas trees to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/helene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helene<\/a>, which immersed the farm in about 6 feet of floodwater.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;Words can&#8217;t describe what we saw when the waters rose.
