That beats his previous record set in November 2021, when the Tesla founder\u2019s net worth exceeded $340 billion, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/billionaires\/profiles\/elon-r-musk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg Billionaires Index<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3tcyyv500073b6min2x32fi@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Shares of Tesla have rallied since the November 5 election and climbed 3.8% on Friday. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/11\/13\/business\/elon-musk-trump-government-companies-hnk-intl\/index.html\">Since Election Day<\/a>, the stock has risen about 40% on investors\u2019 belief that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/11\/10\/politics\/musk-trump-influence-transition\/index.html\">Musk\u2019s influence in the Trump administration <\/a>will usher in an era of deregulation that will benefit the company. Musk, Tesla\u2019s largest individual shareholder, is roughly $83 billion richer since Election Day, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3td8e80000h3b6mgijwvybi@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/11\/14\/business\/elon-musk-doge-department-of-government-efficiency\/index.html\">alliance with President-elect Donald Trump<\/a> has pushed Musk and his ventures to the forefront. Musk is the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the owner of X and CEO of other ventures, including Neuralink, xAI and the Boring Company. Now, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, he will oversee a new \u201cDepartment of Government Efficiency (DOGE),\u201d named after a memecoin.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3td1k49000b3b6mvtj3bbiu@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Musk\u2019s artificial intelligence startup, xAI, also more than doubled in value this week in a new funding round, surging to $50 billion from a few months ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/tech\/ai\/elon-musks-startup-xai-valued-at-50-billion-in-new-funding-round-7e3669dc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to the Wall Street Journal<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3td5zlx000e3b6mlj9k7dby@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Musk has skyrocketed past his peers on the billionaire rankings, which often sees the top contenders swapping places.
