This year marked the 80th rendition of the holiday tradition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">The parade began with a special holiday performance by country music artist <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.georgebirge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">George Birge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">After that the bands, dancers, animals, giant balloons followed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">Santa himself closed out the parade as only he can.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/abc11.com\/post\/raleigh-christmas-parade-2024-guide-start-time-route-parking-road-closures\/15545624\/\"><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"RxNCg ykkUm PvZ nIjPJ PMXYp LmsHF SfAHY mNgye lNbol LBPRq\">Parade Info<\/h2>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">The parade started on Hillsborough Street at St. Mary&#8217;s Street. It proceeded down to the State Capitol and turned right onto Salisbury Street and then made a couple quick turns around the State Capitol &#8212; left onto Morgan Street, right onto Fayetteville Street. The sun was out and temperatures were on the colder side.
