The term \u2018female ejaculation\u2019 has been used to describe squirters, drawing an analogy to male ejaculation. However, although it has been shown that women have a prostate\u2014known as the Skene\u2019s glands\u2014these weigh between 2 and 5 grams, whereas a man\u2019s weighs about 30 grams. It\u2019s impossible for such a small organ to emit up to 250 ml of fluid,<\/i>\u201d explains <b>Samuel Salama<\/b>, a gynecologist, obstetrician, and andrologist based in Paris.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>So, where does all this fluid come from?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To investigate this phenomenon, <b>Dr. Salama<\/b> asked a small group of squirters to urinate into a jar. After collecting the urine, an ultrasound was performed to ensure their bladders were empty. Then, Dr. Salama asked them to self-stimulate sexually. After a few minutes, it turned out their bladders were full again. Upon analyzing the mysterious squirting fluid emitted, Dr. Salama discovered it contained urea, creatinine, and uric acid, just like urine\u2026 Thus, this copious fluid is indeed urine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to <b>Dr. Salama<\/b>\u2018s observations, there are <b>two types of squirters<\/b>. On one hand, there are the \u201cdependent\u201d ones: \u201c<i>they release this fluid only through direct stimulation of the inner vaginal wall (G-spot or the clitoral-urethral-prostate-vaginal complex). Stimulating this area brings pleasure to the woman who is willing to let go. If her bladder is full, this purely mechanical manipulation results in the discharge of urine, as a sort of collateral effect.<\/i>\u201c<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then there is a second category of squirters, known as \u201cautonomous\u201d: \u201c<i>The phenomenon in this case is more cerebral. It\u2019s rarer and can occur with any type of sexual stimulation. In the frontal lobe of the brain, there is an area dedicated to urination which, we know, is dependent on social learning: as children, we were all taught to only pee on the toilet. Right next to this is the social control area. However, to fully experience an orgasm, a woman must deactivate this area, and it\u2019s thought that this inhibition also extends to its neighbor dedicated to urination.<\/i>\u201c<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Social and Psychological Implications<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study of the squirting phenomenon isn\u2019t limited to physiological aspects. There are significant social and psychological implications as well. The taboos and myths surrounding female ejaculation can lead to feelings of shame or confusion for the women involved. A better scientific understanding and increased awareness could help normalize this experience, allowing women to feel more comfortable with their own bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Men and partners of these women can also benefit from this knowledge by developing a more empathetic and informed understanding. This could enhance communication and sexual satisfaction within relationships, contributing to more harmonious and respectful partnerships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ultimately, the study of squirters by Dr. Salama and his colleagues paves the way for a new understanding of female sexual responses.
