Israeli officials said the rabbi, Zvi Kogan, had been murdered and called his death an act of terrorism, without providing any further details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The Emirati government said in a statement on Sunday that \u201cthree perpetrators involved in the murder\u201d had been arrested. Israel has not specified who might have been behind such an attack in the Arab Gulf state, although it has repeatedly accused Iran and its allies of <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inss.org.il\/social_media\/a-disturbing-trend-irans-attempts-to-attack-israelis-abroad-continue\/\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">seeking to target Israelis abroad<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel called Rabbi Kogan\u2019s killing \u201ca despicable antisemitic terrorist attack.\u201d In taped remarks to cabinet ministers, he said that Israel would \u201cexact justice\u201d on whoever was responsible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">More Israelis and Jews have traveled <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/03\/10\/world\/middleeast\/uae-israel-gaza-war.html\" title=\"\">to the United Arab Emirates<\/a>, an oil-rich autocracy next to the Persian Gulf, since the country formally opened ties with Israel in the 2020 Abraham Accords.
