On November 21, embattled former congressman <strong>Matt Gaetz<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/news\/just-in-matt-gaetz-drops-out-as-trumps-nominee-for-attorney-general\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">withdrew his name from consideration<\/a> as Trump\u2019s attorney general. Hours later, the president-elect announced former Florida Attorney General <strong>Pam Bondi<\/strong> as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/politics\/breaking-trump-nominates-ex-florida-attorney-general-and-fox-news-regular-pam-bondi-as-ag\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his replacement pick<\/a> to lead the Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the overall high approval rating for the transition thus far, public opinion on a number of Trump\u2019s highest-profile appointees has been mixed, the poll found. <strong>Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/strong>, Trump\u2019s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, is considered a \u201cgood choice\u201d by 47 percent of voters, and a \u201cnot good choice\u201d by 34 percent. Prospective Secretary of State <strong>Marco Rubio<\/strong> gets a passing grade from 44 percent of voters, while 25 percent oppose his selection. And Pete Hegseth has the support of just 33 percent of voters \u2014 although just 28 percent oppose him, and 39 percent say they \u201chaven\u2019t heard enough about him\u201d to form an opinion.<\/p>\n<p>A majority of Americans, 51 percent, believe it is important that Trump appoint people who are loyal to him personally.
