Neither of these items can be seen on him in the security footage from earlier, suggesting that he put them on when he returned to the room. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Liam Payne was reportedly trying to escape his hotel room by using the balcony when he fell to his death on Oct. 16. <span class=\"credit\">GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Following the release of security footage from Payne\u2019s last moments alive, it appears he was trying to escape his hotel room by using the balcony. <span class=\"credit\">GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Payne fell to his death from the balcony of his third-story hotel room in CasaSur Palermo. <span class=\"credit\">TripAdvisor<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Per the report, a hotel employee also found a brown leather bag on the hotel room balcony directly below Payne\u2019s that contained a note reading \u201cFor Liam,\u201d with various pills and a bottle of Jack Daniel\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s presumed the bag belonged to the former One Direction singer, who seemingly dropped it down to the second floor while trying to escape. It seems that he intended to then jump to the second-floor balcony before climbing down again. <\/p>\n<p>However, that plan seemingly failed when <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/17\/celebrity-news\/liam-payne-was-likely-unconscious-when-he-fell-to-his-death-officials\/\">he then lost consciousness <\/a>and fell to his death from his third-story balcony. He was 31.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A New York Yankees hat and a bag were found next to his body at the time of his death. <span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Payne rose to fame as a singer in One Direction. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Payne was also known for climbing on ledges and using balconies as an escape method.<\/p>\n<p>A source also told TMZ that in mid-September, his bodyguard had locked him in a Florida rental while under the suspicion that the \u201cNight Changes\u201d singer was in the middle of a drug binge. He then escaped through the balcony using a hose to come down.<\/p>\n<p>This new theory comes just days after footage obtained by the DailyMail showed that Payne had been in the lobby of the Buenos Aires hotel where he had been \u201cconvulsing\u201d due to his drug use.<\/p>\n<p>Per the pics, the three men, who are presumed to be hotel staff, picked up Payne and took him back to his room. One of them also removed a mirror hanging outside the singer\u2019s door presumably so he wouldn\u2019t trash it like <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/17\/celebrity-news\/drug-paraphernalia-seen-in-liam-paynes-destroyed-hotel-room-following-his-fatal-fall\/\">he did his room<\/a>, per a police report obtained by the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel has not responded to Page Six\u2019s request for comment and when asked by TMZ, they said \u201cNo comment.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Payne was known for escaping through balconies.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for Atlantis The Royal<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The last footage of Payne showed him being carried back to his room by three men. <span class=\"credit\">America TV<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>He had trashed his entire room during what is presumed to be a drug binge. <span class=\"credit\">.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to the timestamps in the security footage, this all happened just minutes before Payne fell from the balcony of his third-story room. <\/p>\n<p>At the time, a man who described himself as a manager <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/17\/celebrity-news\/hotel-manager-feared-for-liam-paynes-life-during-harrowing-emergency-call-moments-before-singers-death\/\">also called 911 and asked for SAME<\/a>, Argentina\u2019s medical emergency services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a guest who is [allegedly] high and drunk; and when he is conscious, he is\u00a0destroying<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/17\/celebrity-news\/drug-paraphernalia-seen-in-liam-paynes-destroyed-hotel-room-following-his-fatal-fall\/\"> his room\u00a0<\/a>and we need you to send someone, please. We need you to send someone urgently because I don\u2019t know if his life is in danger,\u201d the man, identified only as Estaban, told the dispatcher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is in a room that has a balcony and we are scared he might be endangering his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Payne ended up passing out and falling off his balcony while allegedly trying to escape. <span class=\"credit\">@PAULA_CARIDDI\/TWITTER<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>By the time 911 arrived, he had already fallen. <span class=\"credit\">ZUMAPRESS.com \/ MEGA<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Three people \u2014 an alleged drug dealer, a hotel employee and a friend of the singer \u2014 have been charged in connection to Payne\u2019s death. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>By the time the ambulance arrived, however, Payne had already fatally fallen from the balcony. Three men <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/11\/07\/celebrity-news\/liam-paynes-friend-and-hotel-employee-facing-charges-in-singers-death-report\/\">have since been charged<\/a> for their alleged involvement in Payne\u2019s untimely death.<\/p>\n<p>An alleged drug dealer and a former hotel employee named Braian Nahuel Paiz were charged with supplying the \u201cStory of My Life\u201d singer with narcotics. Paiz has<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/11\/11\/celebrity-news\/hotel-employee-charged-in-liam-paynes-death-denies-supplying-singer-with-drugs\/\">\u00a0denied the claims\u00a0<\/a>against him.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor\u2019s office also charged Payne\u2019s friend, believed to be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/11\/02\/entertainment\/inside-liam-paynes-friendship-with-energy-millionaire-roger-nores\/\">Rogelio \u201cRoger\u201d Nores<\/a>, with negligence for failing to respond to hotel staff\u2019s calls and not telling the singer\u2019s family of his relapse.
