The 30-year-old was last heard from on November 11, after she didn\u2019t board a connecting flight to New York City during a layover at Los Angeles International Airport on November 8.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000i3b6m77z9urls@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Ryan Kobayashi\u2019s body was found Sunday around 4 a.m. on West Century Boulevard, the LAPD confirmed to CNN \u2013 at an address near the airport.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000j3b6m1725psjs@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Police did not provide any information on the 58-year-old\u2019s suspected cause of death, but Kobayashi\u2019s family said he died by suicide.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000k3b6mznxe7l8b@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cThe Kobayashi family endured a devastating tragedy today. After tirelessly searching throughout Los Angeles for 13 days, Hannah\u2019s father, Ryan Kobayashi, tragically took his own life. The file notes that he died in a parking lot. She had the same itinerary as her ex-boyfriend, who, unlike Hannah, boarded a connecting flight to New York City from Los Angeles.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000s3b6mr9n1fyxb@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            CNN obtained a photo that appears to show Kobayashi getting off her flight at the Los Angeles airport. The next day, she was spotted at a Taschen bookstore at The Grove, a shopping mall in Los Angeles, her sister said.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000t3b6m3imyh3c9@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            She then sent a Venmo payment to two people whose names the family did not recognize, according to her sister.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000u3b6md0fkg2gu@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e_bthVI5rMM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video was posted<\/a> on YouTube on November 10, showing Kobayashi at the LeBron XXII Trial Experience, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nike.com\/experiences\/events\/details?eventID=47622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">event<\/a> held at the Nike store in the same shopping center. A photo of the event was also posted on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DCOCme2x2nW\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram account<\/a>, her sister said.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000v3b6mqmb3f82q@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            In the days after the 30-year-old missed her flight, family and friends received a series of suspicious texts from her phone.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000w3b6moytnzl6m@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            On November 11 \u2013 the last day anyone heard from the missing woman \u2013 her mother texted her, asking whether she made it to New York. Kobayashi responded no, her sister said. She also sent messages to a friend saying she didn\u2019t feel safe, and that someone was trying to steal her identity and funds, according to screenshots her sister sent to CNN.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000x3b6mdgh935c9@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cDeep Hackers wiped my identity, stole all of my funds, &amp; have had me on a mind f**k since Friday,\u201d one message to a friend said.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000y3b6mlxua0vnj@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Another message said, \u201cI got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds,\u201d followed by one saying, \u201cFor someone I thought I loved.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm3wtu5ip000z3b6mtyby0qme@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            On November 15, the LAPD missing persons unit made a poster about Kobayashi\u2019s disappearance, saying she was last seen at the airport.
