Microsoft has been providing updates on X, formerly Twitter, throughout the morning, saying it \u201cidentified a recent change\u201d that it thinks is causing the problem and started to \u201crevert the change\u201d while \u201cinvestigating what additional actions are required.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe tech giant said it\u2019s \u201cstarted to deploy a fix\u201d and meanwhile is \u201cbeginning manual restarts on a subset of machines that are in an unhealthy state.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs of a about noon ET, it said, the fix had reached about \u201c98% of our affected environments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe issues today follow a July meltdown after a corrupted update by a cybersecurity firm called CrowdStrike crashed systems and computers around the world that were running Microsoft Windows, including banks, airlines, trains, health systems and other industries.
