It did not interfere with our equipment at all,&#8221; Lieder told FOX Weather.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Each animal in the Bryozoan colony is called a zooid and can feed itself with a horseshoe of tentacles. These tiny animals float alone and eventually form colonies.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Pinnix said the animal colonies are similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/record-breaking-mega-coral-visible-from-space\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coral<\/a> in the way they work together to build structures. Each animal is called a zooid and can feed itself with a horseshoe of tentacles.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/manatee-count-fla-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MANATEES MAY BE RECENT ARRIVALS TO FLORIDA, STUDY SUGGESTS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;But coral builds strong, sturdy structures that last long after the animals they house have died.
