Sony, in its turn, is cautious about buying anime and video game-related assets.<\/p>\n<p>According to a recent Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/newsletters\/2024-11-26\/sony-s-pursuit-of-kadokawa-anime-looks-like-a-great-takeover-idea\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>, the companies have been discussing the potential acquisition deal for years but haven&#8217;t reached an agreement over the &#8220;degree of commitment.&#8221; However, they are now at a formal stage of negotiation, which is &#8220;very encouraging,&#8221; as Bloomberg describes it. It seems that Sony and Kadokawa are ready to conduct a deal.<\/p>\n<p>Kadokawa Coproration is a renowned company in the media sphere, owning over 100,000 anime and sci-fi novels and comics and holding stakes in some game development companies, including FromSoftware, the creator of Enden Ring. Recently, Kadokawa <a href=\"https:\/\/80.lv\/articles\/fromsoftware-owner-reportedly-develops-over-20-new-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed<\/a> that it has 26 new titles in development, including 20 console and six mobile games. <span>Some of the titles are already revealed.
