It was the Russian currency\u2019s lowest level in more than 32 months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said this week a weaker ruble benefits Russian exports. But the ruble\u2019s devaluation also fuels inflation, which Reuters says could<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/currencies\/russian-rouble-down-by-one-quarter-since-early-august-2024-11-27\/\"><span> <\/span><span>add<\/span><\/a><span> 1.5 percentage points to the current inflation rate of 8.5% after the ruble\u2019s four-month fall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Central Bank<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbr.ru\/eng\/currency_base\/daily\/\"><span> <\/span><span>set<\/span><\/a><span> the ruble\u2019s official exchange rate at 108.01 to the dollar and 113.09 to the euro for Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It said Wednesday it will continue selling foreign currency through its sovereign wealth fund.
