Unfortunately, they used a clip from Kanye West\u2019s \u201cFamous\u201d music video.<\/p>\n<p>For the unversed, the music video of \u201cFamous\u201d was highly criticised as it featured a nude wax figure resembling <a rel=\"noamphtml noopener\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/www.financialexpress.com\/auto\/new-cars\/marutisuzuki\/swift\/\" target=\"_blank\">Swift<\/a>. West had claimed through the song and its visuals that he was the one who was responsible for making the 14-time Grammy winner famous.<\/p>\n<p><ev-engagement group-name=\"contentLogin\"\/><ev-engagement group-name=\"myNotification\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"ev-meter-content ie-premium-content-block\"><img class=\"lazyloading\" decoding=\"async\" data-lazy-type=\"lazyloading-image\" src=\"https:\/\/data.indianexpress.com\/election2019\/track_1x1.jpg\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/data.indianexpress.com\/election2019\/track_1x1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1px\" height=\"1px\" style=\"display:none;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After Billboard shared the video, fans took to their devices to defend their favourite star. Almost immediately Billboard released a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are deeply sorry to <a rel=\"noamphtml\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/about\/taylor-swift\/\">Taylor Swift<\/a> and all of our readers and viewers that in a video celebrating Swift\u2019s achievements, we included a clip that falsely depicted her.
