The <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"41\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/lions\/\">Lions<\/a> have the least-favorable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/5744918\/2024\/11\/26\/fantasy-football-matchup-rankings-strength-of-schedule\/\">APA<\/a> for QBs and third-worst for WRs.<\/li>\n<li>On the positive side \u2014 albeit a small sample \u2014 since the Shane Waldron firing, Williams has 31.8% TD+1D\/ATT (touchdowns plus first downs per attempt) when blitzed compared to 12.8% with Waldron.<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"dWkm1xu0iPqlJ5j6\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/sam-laporta-dWkm1xu0iPqlJ5j6\/\">Sam LaPorta<\/a> has a crazy man\/zone split this year with 14.9 YD\/REC against zone coverage and 9.7 against man coverage \u2014 the Bears have the 10th-highest zone use at 72.6%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"51\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/giants\/\">Giants<\/a> at <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"39\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/cowboys\/\">Cowboys<\/a>, Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"2YDyFWUWdEvu4KCf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tommy-devito-2YDyFWUWdEvu4KCf\/\">Tommy DeVito<\/a> might not start, and while <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"0FMiorUFjhTAJG6B\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/drew-lock-0FMiorUFjhTAJG6B\/\">Drew Lock<\/a> would be a slight boost, it\u2019s not enough to warrant risking anyone for the Giants but <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"R6o9RQ6D5FTIKBcv\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/malik-nabers-R6o9RQ6D5FTIKBcv\/\">Malik Nabers<\/a> in a full <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/\">NFL<\/a> week. Nabers would go from WR3 to WR2 status if it\u2019s Lock.<\/li>\n<li>The Cowboys are a huge 2024 disappointment, but the Giants run defense is among the worst, and they have the fourth-best APA for RBs, putting <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"qsrF8CVWw24iwJ2Q\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/rico-dowdle-qsrF8CVWw24iwJ2Q\/\">Rico Dowdle<\/a> in the Flex conversation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"47\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/dolphins\/\">Dolphins<\/a> at <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"42\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/packers\/\">Packers<\/a>, Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"9TQu1PJeoFlq725G\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tua-tagovailoa-9TQu1PJeoFlq725G\/\">Tua Tagovailoa<\/a> when playing outdoors and 40+ degrees temperature: 68.2 Comp%, 2.4 TD\/INT, 15.7 FPPG and 0.12 EPA\/DB. When it\u2019s sub-40 degrees: 55.6 Comp%, 0.8 TD\/INT, 12.5 FPPG and -0.28 EPA\/DB. The temperature is expected to dip below 30 degrees on Thursday in Green Bay.<\/li>\n<li>TmTGT% for Packers without <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"KWxtPO2MBzNEMVsz\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/romeo-doubs-KWxtPO2MBzNEMVsz\/\">Romeo Doubs<\/a> this year and with <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"e1FPMonfjkFEZUw2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/christian-watson-e1FPMonfjkFEZUw2\/\">Christian Watson<\/a> healthy: Watson, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"kzWGAZPsAbphqwRa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/dontayvion-wicks-kzWGAZPsAbphqwRa\/\">Dontayvion Wicks<\/a>, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"vYkFj8DMSnN2IgZZ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/jayden-reed-vYkFj8DMSnN2IgZZ\/\">Jayden Reed<\/a> and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"6E7waQBdSBXYIrxP\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tucker-kraft-6E7waQBdSBXYIrxP\/\">Tucker Kraft<\/a> are all dead even with 16.0% (per TruMedia).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"53\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/raiders\/\">Raiders<\/a> at Chiefs, Friday, 3:00 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As mentioned in waivers, I don\u2019t care who is\/isn\u2019t active at running back for the Raiders. I\u2019m not starting any of them against a <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"46\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/chiefs\/\">Chiefs<\/a> defense that\u2019s allowed just four double-digit fantasy scores (non-PPR), all coming with touchdowns, as no running back has rushed for 60 yards against them.<\/li>\n<li>Also mentioned in the waiver column, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"ROxXg6t8iu9WEEHu\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/deandre-hopkins-ROxXg6t8iu9WEEHu\/\">DeAndre Hopkins<\/a> had just a 44.7 Route%, last on the team. You can\u2019t trust any Chiefs receiver as more than a boom\/bust play.<\/li>\n<li>Same as last week: If <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"QKtau6d3Xq0Ju5fo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/isiah-pacheco-QKtau6d3Xq0Ju5fo\/\">Isiah Pacheco<\/a> returns (have him in the ranks to start), he ranks slightly higher than <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"fMDnIMadtfL3lSJA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/kareem-hunt-fMDnIMadtfL3lSJA\/\">Kareem Hunt<\/a>. If not, Hunt is a must-start again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Chargers at Falcons, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"32\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/falcons\/\">Falcons<\/a> use Cover-3 the second-most (46.1%), and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"9NHrY7HxyKCR40Kh\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/justin-herbert-9NHrY7HxyKCR40Kh\/\">Justin Herbert<\/a> has the second-highest TD+1D\/ATT against it at 27.0% (13.6% against all other coverage), and the highest TD\/ATT (6.7%).<\/li>\n<li>And, yes, I\u2019m giving <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"TQyVCCH7JvMDHcDN\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/quentin-johnston-TQyVCCH7JvMDHcDN\/\">Quentin Johnston<\/a> another chance. First, this is what WR4s are \u2014 boom\/bust \u2014 but also, Johnston has the 11th-best YPRR (3.08) against Cover-3, ahead of names like <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"Zk5GgVex9l3q9BqS\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/ceedee-lamb-Zk5GgVex9l3q9BqS\/\">CeeDee Lamb<\/a>, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"zEpIAizdGk76yimT\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/mike-evans-zEpIAizdGk76yimT\/\">Mike Evans<\/a>, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"9f4ZZkppMneXJAFj\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tyreek-hill-9f4ZZkppMneXJAFj\/\">Tyreek Hill<\/a> and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"qZ3H42PDGITKnjdb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/george-pickens-qZ3H42PDGITKnjdb\/\">George Pickens<\/a>. It\u2019s still boom\/bust, but a bit more boomy this week.<\/li>\n<li>If <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"odZ9yg3RbLFHzE67\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/darnell-mooney-odZ9yg3RbLFHzE67\/\">Darnell Mooney<\/a> is out, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"kngqu3tROk5PI4zY\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/ray-ray-mccloud-kngqu3tROk5PI4zY\/\">Ray-Ray McCloud<\/a> would jump into <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"lO0hfEmR12UfhOVb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/demario-douglas-lO0hfEmR12UfhOVb\/\">DeMario Douglas<\/a>-like WR4\/5 value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"55\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/steelers\/\">Steelers<\/a> at <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"37\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/bengals\/\">Bengals<\/a>, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>George Pickens would have seen a Top 10 finish if not for the miscommunication on a potential touchdown in Week 12, as it wasn\u2019t the weather\u2019s fault. So keep him in all of your lineups, especially since the Bengals are one of the best matchups \u2014 six double-digit WR scores allowed in the past three games.<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"TbtHrFRp7Lrr9gRR\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/tee-higgins-TbtHrFRp7Lrr9gRR\/\">Tee Higgins<\/a> goes from 1.98 YPRR against all coverage that isn\u2019t Cover-1 to 3.85 against it \u2014 the Steelers use Cover-1 the second most in the league. Meanwhile, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"ToHiDqo1AnUHYTWK\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/jamarr-chase-ToHiDqo1AnUHYTWK\/\">Ja\u2019Marr Chase<\/a> goes from 2.67 to 1.67 against Cover-1.<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"AM4uxLX5nEOKVEWU\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/chase-brown-AM4uxLX5nEOKVEWU\/\">Chase Brown<\/a>\u2019s RBTouch% in each game since Zack Moss\u2019 injury: 100%, 100%, 100%. He\u2019s also third in RB FPPG (19.6), first in targets, second in receptions, and second in receiving yards despite playing one fewer game than the leaders \u2014 <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"e62PvmfEiEpOm4dM\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/devon-achane-e62PvmfEiEpOm4dM\/\">De\u2019Von Achane<\/a> (receptions) and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"NJxDrUdY0dwJPjnk\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/saquon-barkley-NJxDrUdY0dwJPjnk\/\">Saquon Barkley<\/a> (receiving yards).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"31\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/ari-cardinals\/\">Cardinals<\/a> at Vikings, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"48\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/vikings\/\">Vikings<\/a> are the zone-heaviest team in the league, and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"NS1S9ZYKzjSSbF41\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/kyler-murray-NS1S9ZYKzjSSbF41\/\">Kyler Murray<\/a> has the third-highest TD+1D\/ATT against zone (21.4%), behind only <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"8vrQt8GE4bS4X4Xa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/lamar-jackson-8vrQt8GE4bS4X4Xa\/\">Lamar Jackson<\/a> and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"FjC3SnpekrKYntTs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/anthony-richardson-FjC3SnpekrKYntTs\/\">Anthony Richardson<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"pWc9EdePoHNYfx8d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/james-conner-pWc9EdePoHNYfx8d\/\">James Conner<\/a> has been quiet of late, and it\u2019s a tough week to rebound \u2014 the Vikings as the worst APA RB matchup, narrowly ahead of the Chiefs.<\/li>\n<li>The past two games were only the sixth and seventh time in his career <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"NQbXl7TPxoDnzj6i\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/justin-jefferson-NQbXl7TPxoDnzj6i\/\">Justin Jefferson<\/a> had 3+ RZ targets and didn\u2019t catch a touchdown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"44\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/colts\/\">Colts<\/a> at <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"49\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/patriots\/\">Patriots<\/a>, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Back to that zone\/man matchup we covered above with Kyler Murray \u2014 the Patriots use zone the second-lowest percentage (55.0%), and Anthony Richardson has the sixth-lowest TD+1D\/ATT against man coverage (13.0%).<\/li>\n<li>On the positive side, Richardson has the fifth-highest TD+1D\/ATT when not pressured (23.6%), and the Patriots have the third-lowest pressure rate (29.3%).<\/li>\n<li>If <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"QJjwpdBCz11FWoQH\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/josh-downs-QJjwpdBCz11FWoQH\/\">Josh Downs<\/a> plays, he\u2019s one of two Colts I\u2019d risk \u2014 the other being <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"0ufRedGY8NfSuTZ4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/alec-pierce-0ufRedGY8NfSuTZ4\/\">Alec Pierce<\/a> for his boom\/bust upside. I noticed a bit more of a \u201cshell\u201d coverage\/strategy and talked to Jeff Zrebiec. He confirmed that after the Bengals game, changes were needed, and that the Ravens started focusing on keeping things in front and avoiding big plays allowed. That included benching <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"wKTgbfNrqbpElTxr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/marcus-williams-wKTgbfNrqbpElTxr\/\">Marcus Williams<\/a>, releasing <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"pUG4hVBEGgk1zmqq\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/eddie-jackson-pUG4hVBEGgk1zmqq\/\">Eddie Jackson<\/a>, playing <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"OsME5pHBcpBiQvdU\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/kyle-hamilton-OsME5pHBcpBiQvdU\/\">Kyle Hamilton<\/a> deeper and rotating more defensive backs, including first-round pick, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"X1j4epTrEc3Xk6gh\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/nate-wiggins-X1j4epTrEc3Xk6gh\/\">Nate Wiggins<\/a>. So, Smith isn\u2019t a lock given these changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"58\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/niners\/\">49ers<\/a> at <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"34\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/team\/bills\/\">Bills<\/a>, Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>There is hope for <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"FSp2bTsEwxXRf1oa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/christian-mccaffrey-FSp2bTsEwxXRf1oa\/\">Christian McCaffrey<\/a> to have his best game yet. The Bills allow the fourth-most yards before contact at 1.93, and the 49ers average the third-highest at 1.89. However, they need OL <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"QvjDp8H5rFl2HQZi\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/trent-williams-QvjDp8H5rFl2HQZi\/\">Trent Williams<\/a>, as they average 1.97 YPC with him compared to 0.92 without (since the start of 2023), and that 0.92 mark would rank last behind the Titans at 1.03.<\/li>\n<li>If <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"1RGor661kFtVtylW\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/keon-coleman-1RGor661kFtVtylW\/\">Keon Coleman<\/a> returns, <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"AUksgZov8jpvh7HT\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/khalil-shakir-AUksgZov8jpvh7HT\/\">Khalil Shakir<\/a> is the safest Bills receiver, with Coleman and <a class=\"ath_autolink\" data-id=\"8skQnSg23GLuojrg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/player\/amari-cooper-8skQnSg23GLuojrg\/\">Amari Cooper<\/a> as high upside\/risk plays.
