We\u2019re gonna stop submitting you for these bigger projects, because you\u2019re not putting on weight.\u2019 I was trying to put on weight. I couldn\u2019t! I basically couldn\u2019t. My metabolism or whatever the fuck couldn\u2019t do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt was those repeated rejections, he admitted, that led him to choosing smaller indie projects such as \u201cCall Me By Your Name\u201d that eventually brought him to global attention. \u201cI was knocking on one door that wouldn\u2019t open,\u201d he told the magazine, referring to action films. \u201cSo I went to what I thought was a more humble door, but actually ended up being explosive for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tChalamet is on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.co.uk\/film\/timothee-chalamet-bob-dylan-biopic-a-complete-unknown-cover-feature-45583\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the cover of Rolling Stone U.K.<\/a> this month to promote his upcoming project, \u201cA Complete Unknown,\u201d in which he plays legendary musician Bob Dylan. Although he admitted to the magazine that before the film he\u2019d been much more into hip-hop., even harbouring what he describes as \u201cdead-on-arrival aspirations of rapping,\u201d stepping into Dylan\u2019s shoes for the past few years as he prepared for the role has turned him into a devoted fan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs part of his preparation, the magazine reported, he worked with a vocal coach, guitar teacher, dialect coach, movement coach and harmonica tutor. Such was his devotion to the role, his co-stars including Ed Norton and Monica Barbaro revealed he kept mostly to himself on set in order to fully immerse himself in the world of Dylan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIt was something I would go to sleep panicked about, losing a moment of discovery as the character \u2014 no matter how pretentious that sounds \u2014 because I was on my phone or because of any distraction,\u201d said Chalamet. \u201cI had three months of my life to play Bob Dylan, after five years of preparing to play him. So while I was in it, that was my eternal focus. He deserved that and then more. God forbid I missed a step because I was being Timmy.
