The coroner listed his official time of death as Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The Alabama A&amp;M athletic department announced Burnett&#8217;s death Wednesday morning and then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/42650464\/alabama-says-football-player-medrick-burnett-jr-alive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sent out a retraction<\/a> later that day.
