Paramedics conducted resuscitation attempts, but Arnold died in the theater.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Arnold, 60, was playing the roles of Marley and Mr. Fezziwig in the play, according to the CBC. The play is based on Charles Dickens&#8217; novel of the same name.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"newsletter_signup \">\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-newsletter-widget embed--float-none embed--size-large embed--type-iframe\" data-ads=\"{\" wordcount=\"\">\n<\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The theater <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DC0Blzjh9oN\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=fa45a4fc-c7ed-41c0-a948-b575a2711ef0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said in a statement on social media<\/a> that Arnold was &#8220;a beloved actor and dear friend,&#8221; as well as a &#8220;cherished member of the Edmonton theatre community.&#8221; Arnold was a founding member of Free Will Players, a theater company that produces an annual Shakespeare festival, and had been a fixture of the city&#8217;s theater community for years, according to the CBC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-instagram embed--float-none embed--size-medium lazyload\" data-require=\"third-party\/instagram\">\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DC0Blzjh9oN\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The Citadel Theater said the rest of the run of &#8220;A Christmas Carol&#8221; would be dedicated to his memory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Julien&#8217;s passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, fellow Carol company members, Citadel staff, and the Edmonton community he loved so dearly,&#8221; the theater said. &#8220;His presence brought joy, heart and depth to every role, and his artistic contributions &#8211; and big hugs &#8211; will be deeply missed.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There will be some scheduling changes to the show&#8217;s run because of Arnold&#8217;s death, according to the CBC, and audience members will be contacted by the theater. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A GoFundMe has been created to support Arnold&#8217;s family.
